The Wonderful New Life is in youBy Pastor Alberto J. Rendon

You are maybe wondering about New Life. I willhave to explain here and I hope that you can

understand the Biblical New Life which is the

most important thing here on earth. The Bible

    says;

Acts 5:20 Go, stand in the temple courts,"he said, "and tell the people the full message

    of this new life."

The Bible declares that there is a New Life that we

must tell the people the full message of it. Thismeans that this New Life is very important,

because we are commanded to let the people know

    what it is.

Many people do not understand the Biblical New

Life and if you are one of them, please take time toread this article and I pray that you will be

    enlightened.

I will begin with these questions: What is BiblicalNew Life means, who has it, who gives it and how

to have it? These are the questions that we must

find the answers. Ignorance to the answers of these

questions would make you wonder the real

    meaning of life.

Life is meaningful. It is a wonderful thing we had; unless yo

understand the real meaning of life you will not enjoy the reality of

and your life would be meaningless.

This New Life is so very important to God. This is the life that G

desires that all people should have. This life is so very precious th

it is paid by the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. What is this Ne

Life? Some believe it is a new religion, some believe it is a life bei

changed from bad habits into good habits, some believe that it islife saved from accidents and sickness and others believe that it islife that has been fulfilled the New Years resolution.

Notice: None of the above answers and beliefs is correct. You m

have a nice religion but do not have this New Life. You may ha

changed your bad habits into good habits and still you do not ha

this New Life. You maybe are saved from death, sickness a

accident but you still do not have this New Life. And you may ha

fulfilled the New Years resolution in a long period of time and y

still do not have this New Life.

What is this New Life? New Life is called in the Bible Etern

Life. In John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave h

one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish b

    have eternal life.(NIV)

The Bible says, whoever believes on the Son of God shall not peri

but have eternal life. Take note. Eternal life is not our human li

eternal life is not long life but life without end. This is the New Li

    in the Bible.

Who has this new life? The answer is, those already have t

temporal life; a man of sin who is still alive. A living man has th

life the human life a temporal life. In order for a man who alrea

has the temporal life to receive the Eternal life he must believe o

Him (Jesus Christ.) In other words, if a man who already believed the only begotten Son of God has already received eternal life.

John 5:12-13 supports it, you can read it below.

If a man already has received the eternal life, it means he has anoth

life in him that is eternal and this is the New Life. That is what Ne

    Life means in the Bible.

New Life is also called in the Bible Spiritual Life.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is

born of the Spirit is spirit... John 3:6

  • 8/14/2019 Our Herald

Issue 1, Volume 01 The HERALD Page 2

The old life is born of the flesh, which is the human life the oldlife, a temporal life. But that is born of the spirit is Spirit is what

the bible says. It is clear that the life that is born in the flesh is

flesh which means the old life we had. But that what is born in the

spirit is spirit which it means Spiritual life and that is the New

    Life.

Notice; both life, the old and the new has its beginning and itsbeginning is being born. The Bible says that which is BORN of the

flesh is flesh human life or natural life and that which is BORN

of the Spirit is spirit. The old life is being born in the flesh and the

same way the Spiritual Life/New Life is being born in the Spirit, in

other words a life that is new.

Many people believe that this New Life is received after the death

of the old life physical death, which means New Life or Eternal

Life is received after we die. That is why many people pray for the

dead that say Lord give Him (the dead) eternal life.

Of whom the Bible says about who has this New Life?

In 1 John 5:12-13 it says. He that hath the Son hath life;and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These

things have I written unto you that believe on the name of

the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,

and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

According to what is written in the Bible, He that has the son

has Life. What is this life? Simple; it is not the human life the old

life but it is the New Life. It is because many people who do not

have the son but still they have the life the old life. So the life here

indicates the New Life that is given to those who has the Son.

In verse 13, it says,...These things have I written unto youthat believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may

know that ye have eternal life

Who already have this eternal life? The correct answer is those

who believe on the name of the Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ. Are they still alive physically? Of course! It was not written to the

deadbut to the people who arestill alive? If we say to the deadit makes no sense. The dead cannot read a letter of John. Johnwrote this letter to those physically alive and the same timespiritually alive that they may know that they have eternal life.

In 1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: God has given useternal life, and this life is in his Son.

It is God who gave the New Life or eternal life through our Lord

Jesus Christ and it is already given (past tense) to those who has

    the Son.

Again in verse 13, it says, These things have I written untoyou that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may

know that ye have eternal life.

New Life or Eternal Life and is also called Spiritual Life is already

given by God to those who believed on the name of the Son of

    God.

But as many as received him, to them gave he

power to become the sons of God, even to them

that believe on his name: Which were born,

not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of

the will of man, but of God.John 1:12-13

In order that a life should be in existence, it must befirst be born. Those who are born again in the spirit

are born of God, and that kind of life is not like thawhich is born of the flesh or born of blood and or

born of the will of man but born of God and this is

    called the New Life.

The New Life is the one which is born of God in

you. The old life is the one which is born of thehuman will, which is our human or temporal life.

To become a child of God it is necessary to believe

on the name of the Son of God the Lord Jesus

Christ. When you believed, God will give you the

power to be born in the spirit and when you are

being born in the spirit you now become a child of

    God.

Do you believe on the name of Jesus Christ?

Did you receive him as the only way to havethis New Life? Well, if so, you have this NewLife in you. The God kind of life which is eternal orspiritual life, it is the gift of God.

Romans 6:23;For the wages of sin is death;but the gift of God is eternal life through

    Jesus Christ our Lord.

If you are not sure that Jesus Christ is Gods way or

your source of Eternal Life or New Life and or your

personal savior and Lord, you can pray with thisprayer guide, and please do it prayerfully.

Father God Almighty. I come to you in the name of

Jesus Christ. I come to you with all the sins I'v

    committed. I admit I am a sinner.

I ask for your forgiveness. Please cleanse my body, soul

and spirit from all the sins I have committed. I believe your

Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for MY sins and all

those that believe in his name. I also believe that he rose

from the dead so that I, too, may have victory over the

works of the devil. I confess and accept Jesus Christ as my

Lord and Savior and ask him to come into my heart and

give me a new life thats after your will and purposes. Iwant to serve you and obey all your ways. I want to live for

you everyday of my life. Please lead and guide me by your

    Holy Spirit into righteousness.

Thank you Lord, for the work of your Son Jesus shedding

his blood for me and for hearing and answering my

    prayer. Im now considered

your son through the work of

your Son Jesus. I have a New

Life. I have been born anew

and by faith I believe it. In

    Jesus name, I have prayed.Amen.

    ANG KALUWASANByPastor Alberto Rendon

    Ano Bala Ang Kaluwasan?

Madamo nga mga tawo nga nakahibalo nahanungod sangKaluwasan pero wala makaintendi kon ano gid bala angkaluwasan. Sa sini nga balasahon makatuon kita kag

    makaintendi nahanungod sang Kaluwasan.

gikan sang silot sang sala.

bugay, wala sing bayad libre o kon regalo sang Dios.

    1. Kaluwasan gikan sa SILOT sang sala.2. Kaluwasan gikan sa GAHUM sang sala.3. Kaluwasan gikan sa PRESENSIYA sang sala.

Issue 1, Volume 01 The HERALD Page 6

The question is, HOW MANY WORKS SHOULD WE DO TO

RECEIVE SALVATION? No one can point out and take Bible

verses to give a number of works we should do in order to be

saved. If we say ten good works or seven that means after we

have faith we have to complete all of them in order to get saved,

and then if we have completed the nine or six and we die, still

we are not saved. Some say it is two, faith and baptism. It is also

the same, that before someone is baptized then he died still he is

    not saved.

There is no number of rules to follow in the New Testament to

produce good works in order to get saved but only faith, genuine

faith. If there is a number of a rule to do to get saved, no one can

be saved. Because James also said that if we commit one of the

    other rules we broke all.

James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and

yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking

    all of it.

If God basis our salvation by faith and good works it would

means that salvation has different levels. Those who did many

good works will receive the bestsalvation and those who only did

few, not good salvation. That is

    why salvation is received by

genuine faith alone because of the

    grace of God.

I believe genuine faith is not alone,

to the extent it produces good works, but salvation does not

depend on the good works but on the faith alone. I put it on this

way, Faith plus Salvation equals Good works not Faith plus

Good works equals Salvation. There are problems if salvation

is the result of faith plus good works as we have seen above and

    there is one more.

We believe salvation is a free gift from God, totally free, and

this cannot be paid and no one can pay salvation. If salvation is

the result of Faith plus Good works, salvation cannot be

considered free gift, but a reward earned by faith and good

    works.

Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:9 of The Living Bible Translation is

more clearer; it says, Salvation is not a reward for the good

we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it.

James was not saying, produce works of your faith so you will

be saved, but simply Show me your faith without deeds, and I

will show you my faith by what I do... He pointed out who has

the genuine faith that is proven by works. Nowhere in the Biblefound a command to work for our salvation. Are we told to work

    out our own salvation?

Phil. 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have

always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but

now much more in my absence, work out your

own salvation with fear and trembling.

Here we see that many people mistranslated this verse. They add

for to your own salvation. Nowhere found here to work out for

your salvation but work out your own salvation or work out

your salvation. To better understand what it means in this verse.

We have already received salvation, but we are to work out or

continue to show the proofs of good works. Logically, you

cannot work out of a thing you do not have or else we have to

say work out FOR IT. Paul did not say work out FOR YOUR

OWN SALVATION but work out your own salvation.

Salvation Is Already Given And Can Be Received

    By Faith

The problem is many people do not understand about salvation

in general. They think that salvation is earned by good works

because we will receive salvation after we die, not now. The

truth is salvation is received at the point of faith in the finished

    work of Jesus Christ.

What Salvation we received at the point of genuine Faith? The

Bible is very clear that salvation is at the point of faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through

faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man

    should boast.KJV

The Bible says for by grace are ye

saved through faith, this means God

saved us by His grace, He did i

through our Lord Jesus Christ. Pau

was writing to the believers in the

church at Ephesus that they are already saved, PAST TENSE

they had already received salvation. What salvation they

received? Let us look at the person who is not a believer of

Christ. In opposite, they have not received salvation, they are

still in the bondage of sin and they are under the wrath of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hatheverlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son

shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on

    him. KJV

The unbeliever or the one who do not believe the Son (Jesus

Christ) two things are in his life; shall not see life (eternal life)

and the wrath of God abides on him. In other words he is no

saved from the wrath of God or the penalty of sin. The opposite

is the believer is SAVED from the wrath of God. Therefore

Apostle Paul said For by grace are ye SAVED through

faith not of yourselves not of works, lest any man should

    boast.

What salvation we received? Salvation from the wrath of Godwe are saved because we believed. Saved from what? From the

    wrath of God.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no

condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,

who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Here we see that we are saved (Past Tense) from the PENALTY

OF SIN. Another Salvation we are going take is we are saved

(Past Tense / Present Tense) from THE POWER OF SIN and the

next is to be saved (Future Tense) from the PRESENCE OF

    SIN.

For he says, "In the time of my favor I heardyou, and in the day of salvation I helpedyou." I tell you, now is the time of God'sfavor, now is the day of salvation.
