FROM THE PASTORMy Dear Brothers and Sisters let us continue to rejoice in the Easter Celebrations of Our Lord’s Resurrection. Like the twodisciples on the Road to Emmaus ‘our hearts should be burning’ within us as we listen to the stories of the Resurrected Christ inour scriptures during these weeks of Easter leading up to the great “Feast of the Pentecost” when the Holy Spirit was unleashed uponthe Apostles and all disciples of Jesus.
Congratulations to the Confirmandi
Congratulations to our Confirmandi and their families. We were blessed to have Bishop John W. Flesey to confer theSacrament of Confirmation on them last Sunday. His homily focused on how to trust in the Spirit. He told us how listening tothe promptings of the Spirit can bring about great things in our lives. Bishop Flesey reminded us that the voice of the HolySpirit can guide us to choosing to do the right thing. Please pray for our newly Confirmed as they take their place in theChurch as fully initiated members and future leaders of the Church. (See below for the list of our newly confirmed)
Mass of Anointing and Healing
Next Saturday May 10th is our “Annual Mass of Anointing and Healing” at 10:00 am in the Church. Once again we areblessed to have Fr. John Campoli join us as our celebrant and homilist for the Mass. If you or a member of your family is inneed of the Sacrament of the Sick or if they are in need of healing prayers here is a great opportunity to receive the sacramentof healing. The Sacrament will take place during the mass. After the mass Fr. John will conduct prayers for healing and thelaying on of hands for those who wish to receive his healing touch. There will be light refreshments in the Rackley Room aftermass.
Fr. Campoli is a member of the Institute Voluntas Dei; he has conducted Healing Services, Missions and Retreats all around thecountry. He has helped many people in the past. He is the author of several books and audio and video tapes on healing. Fr.Campoli has been blessed by God with the gift of healing. His touch brings peace and tranquility. I invite you to come andparticipate in this special Mass.
