The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick If anyone knows that they are about to undergo serious surgery during the week, it would be recommended that they be anointed after one of the Masses on the previous Sunday. Or if you need the Sacrament at any other time, please contact the Rectory.

BAPTISMS are celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month @ 12:15 p.m. in Church. The Pre-Jordan Class will be held every other month. Both parents are to attend this class. It is recommended that expecting parents attend this class BEFORE the child is born. You must pre-register by calling the Rectory.

MARRIAGES Arrangements must be made with a priest in the parish at least six months before the date of the wedding to assure sufficient preparation. Please confirm the Church date before you reserve the reception hall.

Football Sweepstakes The Knights of Columbus once again will have the Football Sweepstakes available for sale. The Sweepstakes are based on the final 10 weeks of the NFL season. It is a chance each week, you are assigned 4 teams. If your 4 teams score the most or least points collectively you are a winner with prizes ranging from $10-$400. 20 prizes are awarded weekly. Lectio Divina is a Latin phrase which can be translated as “divine reading.” It is a practice of reading, reflecting, responding, and resting with Sacred Scripture.

What: Our Parish is starting a Lectio Divina group! The sessions will feature the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday.

Where: For now, meetings will be online.

Why: Experience a simple, insightful way to hear and experience the Word of God with one another and learn one way to pray with Scripture. When: Weekly on Thursdays at 7:00pm beginning on August 6. Come as often as you can!

Christmas Bazaar News We need stamps!

We are still planning on doing the Christmas Bazaar Parish Raffle and we are in need of stamp donations. Due to decreased attendance at masses, less people will be picking up their raffle tickets in person, so we will need to mail them. Please help defer the postage costs! Drop stamps off or mail to the rectory or place them in the collection basket. Thank you!

CChristmas Bazaar & CCraft Fair News It is with great regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Christmas Bazaar & Craft Fair scheduled for December 5th & 6th due to the pandemic. The Christmas Bazaar is not just an important fund raiser, but it is also an important community builder, so cancelling it is a great loss to our parish.

We are still planning on doing the Christmas Bazaar Parish Raffle, and more information will follow.

CCD REGISTRATION: All parents of children in public school entering 1st grade and new parishioners should register their children for CCD classes at this time. Registration forms are on the table in the narthex of the church, at the CCD office, at the rectory office and online on the parish website. SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on

Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 4:00 PM.

Confirmation Practice will be held on Thursday September 24, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Church. This will be a mandatory practice for everyone since it will be our only practice. Students should report to the church at 5:00 PM and sponsors or an adult stand-in would need to come to the church by 6:50 PM for a quick run-through practice and directives. Please note that if your son or daughter's sponsor cannot attend the practice, a parent must stand-in and then explain the procedure and directives to their child's sponsor before they arrive for Confirmation.
