Our Pastor Writes by Rev. Rob Armstrong, Senior Pastor

Greetings,

Reflecting on February has given me many reasons to celebrate what God is doing here at Harrisburg! The month was filled with baptisms, new members, and the Lord’s Supper. Our first members meeting on February 25, 2018 was a great success. I’m thankful for your involvement and the way you welcomed our newest members into our church family.

Easter is on April 1, 2018 and we will have three services, no Sunday school, and no Sunday night activities that day. Our services will be at 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:00am. There will be an opportunity to fellowship together before and after the services in the fellowship hall with coffee, juice, muffins, etc. In addition there will also be a photo booth set up for

you take pictures with your family and friends. I am truly looking forward to celebrating our Risen Savior on this special day!

Leading up to Easter we have opportunities to grow together and impact our community. On Saturday March 24, 2018 we will have an Easter egg hunt filled with activities and fun at Harrisburg. This is a great way to celebrate together with our friends and family. For more information contact Angela Mitchell or Shelley Farmer.

On Saturday March 31, 2018 our church is partnering with The Orchard to impact our community. We will be co-hosting a community Easter egg hunt at Ballard Park. This is a simple and effective way to build relationships, share the Gospel, and invite people to our Easter services. For more information about this contact John Gordon.

On Sunday, March 25, 2018 we are starting a special kids worship opportunity for ages 4 yrs- 3rd grade. We will dismiss those who desire to go each week at the midpoint of our service for a unique time led by Shelley Farmer and members of our children’s ministry team.

I want to encourage you to continue inviting your friends and neighbors to worship with us. The number of people gathering each week continues to grow and I’m thankful for your effort to see more people growing as involved at Harrisburg. The testimonies of how God is working in our lives each week prove that our God is good and that He is faithful!

As always I am grateful to be your pastor.

By His Grace,Pastor Rob

PRESCHOOL NEWSFix Our Eyes on Jesus“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed, day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus. Everyone around you has something they are struggling with, even if you aren’t aware of it. But, as children of God, we are assured that our troubles on earth are temporary. We can hold on to the promise of a glorious, problem-free eternity with Him!
