NEWSLETTER Our School
participate in a volunteer support day. Some of the tasks we will be undertaking include painting, staining the deck and picnic tables, refreshing our garden beds and general clean up.
Facility Improvements Over the holidays the playground equipment will undergo some repair work, a new slide, bridge and pommel droppers will also be installed. Shade sails over the canteen servery will be installed, and the old damaged sails over the playground will be replaced.
Thanks to the Buildings and Grounds Sub-committee, we have managed to secure a relationship with the Tafe section of Victoria University (carpentry and joinery division). They will be building seating next term to be installed in the newly redeveloped area know as Suffolk Square. The funds raised through the School Council project will go towards paying for the materials as well as the installation of lighting in the BBQ area. The sub committee are now in the process of brainstorming ideas for the 2018 School Project so if you have any ideas we would love to hear from you.

Message From The Principal WHAT A TERM
Well we come to the close of another busy and productive term. So many highlights, memorable events and achievements. Some of these include the wonderful “Picture This” Art Show last week, whole school athletics day, swimming program as well as a long list of various excursions and incursions to complement our regular programs. We will all need to have a well deserved two week break ready to gear up for another busy term ahead. Some highlights for next term include the 3-6 Doxa Malmsbury Camp, Year 1/2 Dinner and Year 2 Sleepover, Prep Transition Program, Celebration Picnic and Disco, Orientation Day and the Year Six Graduation. I would like to thank every-one for their wonderful continued support.
“Picture This” Art Show 2017 What an amazing night we had at our “Picture This” Art Show! A true team effort involving the whole school community and the night surely did not disappoint. Ms Vella has now handed the batten over to Ms Azzopardi in preparation for the 2018 concert. We would like to thank Anh for her very generous donation of toys to the Luck Sticks stall which is always a big hit with the kids. The Art Show raised a total of $2,770. Thank you to every-one who supported the night. Why not send us an email at [email protected] and let us know what you enjoyed at the Art Show and if you have any suggestions for future Art Shows.
Special Lunch A big thank you to Sonia, Michelle, Debbie, Carmen and Elizabeth who organised 131 orders for today’s Special Lunch. With your support we raised $549.
Staffing We say farewell to Ms Borg who goes on family leave at the end of this week. We thank Ms Borg for her contribution to Sunshine Primary School. I will be taking long service leave for the first two weeks of term 4. Ms Champion will act in my position whilst Ms Jones will be the acting Assistant Principal.
