Monday Lunch:

11:25 in service building

Kids Clothing Exchange: The next exchange date is March 26, from 9-11 AM

Family Promise:

Our next time to host is April 3 - 10

We are collecting Little Debbie snacks for Monday Lunch.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10

Each Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock a sewing group meets at the North "A" building to work together on various projects. Enter the room and you will find several sewing machines, a large quilting machine, stacks of brightly colored cloth, and a variety of ongoing tasks, some of which are for personal use, but many of which are being done for the sake of others. For instance, many quilted lap robes and walker "pockets" are made and donated each year to the residents at local nursing care facilities. This ministry attracts quite a few people from outside our congregation. Some from the Midland community who come for the monthly kids clothing exchange have also met with the our group to learn more about sewing. Last year several members of the Aphasia Center of West Texas were invited to participate in making a quilt to be auctioned off at that group's annual fund-raiser. Earlier this month that quilt brought $4,200.00 at auction. The following comes from the auction brochure:

Aphasia Center members typically suffer right-side paralysis, yet that hasn't deterred their ability to sew a beautiful quilt. Months ago, Center members, along with volunteers from North A Church of Christ worked for weeks. Their masterpiece, out of speech bubbles and hearts, could become your treasure tonight.
