Provide leadership and vision for educational and administrative technology
Ensure the daily operation of technology based systems and services district-wide
Assist in establishing and maintaining public support for BPS in partnership with the community, public, and private organizations.

Support all aspects of the District’s critical technology infrastructure. This includes day-day operations, moni-toring and improving performance, capacity planning, hardware/software updates and patches, troubleshooting and support to maintain a high quality of service – all in support of teaching and learning.
Support the wired and wireless networks infrastructure.
Support the SAN and virtual server infrastructure.
Support the data backup system.
Support the directory, e-mail and database systems.
Support voice communication systems, which include telephones and PA systems.
Supervise and participate in the support of the District’s critical in-
frastructure (networks, SAN, virtualization, directory service, e-mail and database systems, voice communication systems) and the District’s electronic security systems (firewall, network admission control, security cameras and over-all computer security).
Participate in the development and implementation of departmental strategic/operational plans, programs, systems, standard operating procedures, technologies, and recordkeeping practices.
Support the implementation of innovative products and services.
