Get the whole experienceFor many, intercollegiate athletics is essential to the university experience. NCAA Division I football and 15 other men’s and women’s sports provide excitement and build affinity. The Mean Green competes in Conference USA with Rice, Louisiana Tech and UT-San Antonio. UNT’s new Apogee Stadium provides the ultimate game day experience. Last year’s winning season culminated with the football team taking home the Heart of Dallas Bowl championship trophy.

New student unionThe campus is buzzing about the new University Union, which is scheduled to open in Fall 2015. Construction is expected to cost about $130 million, with plans for the building to achieve the highest LEED certification level, Platinum.

How to applyUNT is a selective university and does not guarantee

admission of all applicants. Submit the ApplyTexas Application

(www.applytexas.org), official transcripts and required entrance

exams, including the writing sections. You should apply for

admission in the fall of your senior year. The freshman admission

deadline is March 1.

Freshman Orientation At Freshman Orientation, you’ll get academic advising and

tips on how to be successful in college. You’ll register for your first

semester of classes and meet other students who will share your

four-year journey at UNT.
