Multicache del agua

1. Frontil (patos)

Propuesta: aquí debido a la poca profundidad que tiene el agua hemos pensado en

colocar un cache que se sitúe debajo de las piedras que hay pegando a la baranda

donde nace el agua.

2. Fuente Don Pedro

Coordenadas: N 37º 10´ 29.6184” W 4º 8´ 1.4496”

Propuesta: aquí habíamos pensado en colocar un cache físico situado en una

pequeña cueva que hay justo al lado del nacimiento.

3. Mirador de Los Infiernos

Coordenadas: N 37º 10´ 15.1428” W 4º 7´ 38.4852”

Propuesta: aquí hemos pensado en poner un cache físico debajo del mirador.

4. Plaza de Abajo

Coordenadas: N 37º 10´ 0.5376” W 4º 9´ 1.1952”

Propuesta: aquí tenemos dos propuestas como son las siguientes: la primera se

trata de un cache físico que se colocará detrás de la Puerta del Jaufín,

simplemente habrá que meter la mano tras ella por las rejillas y estará colocado en

el suelo; la segunda propuesta consiste en que los extranjeros entren a la

biblioteca, busquen un libro relacionado

con Loja y dentro de este que busquen

cual es la figura lojeña más representativa

en Semana Santa (incensarios), una vez

que lo hayan encontrado le tendrán que

decir la respuesta a la bibliotecaria, y si la

respuesta es correcta, dicha mujer le dará

un papel con las coordenadas de los 25 caños.

5. 25 caños

Coordenadas: N 37º 10´ 3.1404” W 4º 9´ 17.9028”

Propuesta: aquí hemos pensado en poner un cache físico encima de los caños

muy bien escondido o en un hueco que hay en la pared.

6. Fuente del Moco

Coordenadas: N 37º 9´ 58.1436” W 4º 9´ 0.9252”

Propuesta: aquí hemos decidido poner un cache físico en el incensario que hay al

lado de la fuente, y cuando decimos en el incensario, nos referimos a ponerlo

dentro de él, hablamos de un cache magnético, de manera que será bastante difícil

encontrarlo, queremos añadir que este cache es una de las propuestas más firmes

de las que presentamos.

7. Plaza Arriba

Coordenadas: N 37º 9´ 58.4362” W 4º 9´ 4.8888”

Propuesta: aquí no tenemos claro que hacer, ya que, debido a que este es el

último queremos aumentar bastante el grado de dificultad, aún así tenemos barias

ideas en mente como las siguientes: preguntar cosas sobre la Iglesia de la

Encarnación como por ejemplo la frase que pone en la fachada, el número de

campanas que tiene dicha iglesia, etc. También podemos preguntar cómo se llama

el hombre que hay situado en la estatua que hay en el centro de dicha plaza, o

alguna pregunta relacionada con él. Por otra parte, también está la opción de

poner un cache físico entre las cuatro cantaras donde cae el agua o en algún lugar

de la plaza en el que sea bastante difícil de de encontrar.

Para finalizar queremos añadir que los caches físicos serán todos de tamaño

micro, para aumentar la dificultad. También queremos señalar lo siguiente: si el

rosco de Loja finalmente se reparte en Bonachera en vez de en Santa Teresa se

alterara el orden en la búsqueda de caches, siendo el de la Plaza Arriba el

penúltimo y el de la Fuente del Moco el último (a nosotros personalmente, nos da

igual el sitio). Y para terminar decir que nosotros ponemos todas esas propuestas

encima de la mesa y luego vosotros escogéis las que queráis, de hecho hemos

puesto 7 caches por si quisierais eliminar alguno.

Water cache trail draft

1. Frontil (patos)

Proposal: we have chosen this place because of the shallow depth of the water. We have thought of placing a cache under the stones that are sticking to the railing where the water flows.

Proposal: here we are not sure about what to do, because, this is the last one and we’d like to increase the degree of difficulty. man. A simple vista, parecerá que es una herrata (thirsty [sediento] en vez de thirty

[treinta]), y las siguienes coordenadas estarán dentro de la fuente.

SEGUNDO MIRADOR: Mirador de Sylvania 37º 10, 094N 004º 09, 535W

La pista serán un montón de palabras que, a simple vista, no dicen nada:

genio), y pegaremos las siguientes coordenadas debajo de la plataforma sobre la que

hay que andar, a la altura de dicha X.

CUARTO MIRADOR: Alcazaba, cerca de estatua de Boabdil 37º10, 040N 004º 09,

037W

La pista será You are at Boabdil’s castle, so you are at his feet. No será difícil deducir

la locación, así que pondremos una segunda pista en el pie de Boabdil, que dirá My

VIRTUAL GEOCACHING IN GRANADA

ITINERARY TO SEARCH FOR THE CACHEs

1. Starting point of the tour: Granada cathedral.

We start our tour in the most religious and social core of Granada, an outstanding place since the city conquer by the Catholic Kings. The cathedral was built where the Mayor Mosque in the Muslim times was founded.

1) What is its architectural style? a. Elizabethan-Gothic b. Baroque c. Mudejar

2) The author of this work is represented in a nearby statue, which gives its name to the square:

a. Pedro de Machueca b. Miguel Ángel c. Alonso Cano

2. The Royal Chapel is at one side of the Cathedral and you can have access to it through both the inside and outside of this. It is where the Catholic Kings’ son and daughter, Elizabeth I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon, are buried. The architecture is Elizabethan-Gothic, especially remarkable for the abundance of ornaments in the crestings and pinnacles.

1) In the first part of the crestings, you can see the heraldic motifs allusive to the kings, who are buried there, in the

there is a Renaissance palace. The Catholic kings created the royal audience and “Chancilleria” and established it as a judicial body. After the conquest of the city of Granada it was decided to locate in this city. It was the first building that was built to house a court of law.

1) On the sides of the large central

balcony, seated in the pediment appear:

2) The cover is a semicircular arch surrounded by Corinthian columns on pedestals. Above the columns there is a straight fronton with an inscription.

5. Going up the hill Gomerez to Alhambra and before come into the most important Granada’s forest we arrive at triumphal arch-door that P. Machuca built to commemorate the arrival of Carlos V to Granada.

2) The triangular eardrum

represents a coat of arms of the Emperor Charles V that supports:

e come into Alhambra’s forest; we’ll reach the heart of the Muslim Granada, palatal city of the nazarí kingdom, the last Islamic stronghold in the Iberian peninsula. The gateway The Gate of Justice, Bad al-Sharia, is one of the four gates than give entrance to the palatial site of the Alhambra.

1) In this door they emphasize some of the most well-known symbols of the culture alhambreña in the great arc of the facade.

2) To reach the other side of the door,

you have to cross four inner corners which are covered by vaults:

7. Already inside the enclosure we are in the Alhambra. It is a group of

palaces, gardens and fortress that housed a true citadel within the city of Granada itself that served like lodging to the monarch and to the court of the Nazarí Kingdom of Granada. Its true appeal, as in other Muslim works of the time, lies not only in the interiors, whose decoration is among the summits of Andalusian art, but also in its location and adaptation, generating a new landscape but totally integrated with the preexisting nature.

In the same center of the enclosure we go to the Palace of Charles V. Called this way because it was built at the beginning as the residence of Emperor Charles. His architect was Pedro de Machuca in 1542. His style is renaissance. Is located next to the Nazarí Palace of Comares, what supposes a great contrast with the Islamic architecture of the surroundings.

LUGARES PINTORESCOS I, II AND III

The Erasmus teams taking part in the blended mobility let us know they were arriving

and leaving on different days. Therefore, the Spanish teachers decided to create three

different caches for our students and their guest. They would have something to do on

those days when only some of the team were in our town.

revised and some are being changed since most of them were lost after the noisy

search of our Erasmus teams.As soon as they are published properly, we’ll send our

One of our students went on holidays with his family to Italy and they were

geocaching.

During Easter our students went geocaching and took a quite picture which was

of the pics that won one of our Twinspace contests.

Our students’ parents are also interested in geocaching and some have even

tried.

3. OUR BLOG.

It was created by the students and they have been in charge of updating it.

Nowadays they have decided to turn it into a weebly which they consider more

attractive and dynamic. Hopefully it will be finished by the end of July.

6. SPANISH BLENDED MOBILITY.

Undoubtly, the most outstanding output for us this year has been to organize the

first blended mobility of the project. In April, from 22nd to 29th, 26 students and 11

teachers came to our town and we shared a whole week of geocaching, working

and social activitites.

Our accomplished activity program is the best proof of the great work our students,

host families and teachers have done.

7. COOPERATION WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES

We consider an essential output the fact that we have been able to involve actively in

our project local institutions and authorities.

Certainly, our project and the innovative topic of “Geocaching” has caught on and our

Town Hall representative for tourism is involved in our project from the very

beginning. Cooperation with the local tourist office is a reality and it will continue

during and after the end of our project.

It has been also easy to find interest and cooperation in some other private

associations and companies which have become active collaborator during our

blended mobility: ALCI, the local business association, Bonachera, one of the best

bakeries in town and Peña Flamenca, the local association for Flamenco.

Local media have shown their interest in our project too and the different activities

done have appeared in newspapers and online networks like facebook.

8. DIFFUSION IN OUR SCHOOL.

Among other activities to get students involved in the project, such as the logo contest,

the welcome event, decoration of our school for the blended mobility, our students

have taught how to become “cachers” to their younger partners in the 2º Year of ESO

groups. The team designed a couple of powerpoint presentations to teach how to get

ready for geocaching and afterwards, these groups, 90 students, went to the

mountain to look for our caches. One of the most successful experiences this year in

9. SUMMER GEOCACHING EXPERIENCE .

The students living in the nearby villages, Ventorros de San José and Zagra have created and

published a multicache based on the French model. The idea is to collect information in the

different caches to finally get a typical recipe of a local dish.

As soon as possible we’ll go on a geocaching trip to search for them and try the real dish in a

typical restaurant. Parents will be invited to take part in this experience.
