The Great CommissionMatthew 28:18-20: Make disciples

II Timothy 1:1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the 

will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,  to Timothy, a beloved son:  Grace, 

mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

II TIMOTHY – 7 key commands for a disciple

1. 1:6 …stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

2. 1:8 …do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, … 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling,

3. 1:13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

II TIMOTHY – 7 key commands for a disciple

4. 2:2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

5. 2:15 Be diligent (study – KJV) to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

6. 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts;  but  pursue righteousness, faith,  love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

7. 4:2 Preach the word! 4:5 …fulfill your ministry.

and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
