Overall Report Card Grade For The Spring Forward Event
I don't want anybody to bash, just give your honest overall opinion on the entire week of
Invicta's "Spring Forward Event." Overall grade to me was a B-. I did pick up one watch, but
not due to just a spring forward event (it was a sea hunter on clearance). I thought about
the "once only" rosetone venom and that was about it. I did watch all the shows pretty
much the first 4 to 5 days, but the last 2 days not very much at all. The grade I gave is
overall, prices, selection, once only's, new models (can be different colors, movements,
casing, limited editions, dial variations etc...). I was kinda sad no real arsenals showed up
very much. I'm kind of in the arsenal and sea hunter mood right now and can't wait for the
meteorite dial in it.

C-, a few deals, mostly same old same old -over and over again.
But ended on a bad note with the Scuba/Sw500 way out of line high priceing, left a bad
"Gouging" taste in my mouth for the event.

C-, prices were high...some people will regret later when they are paying all he VP's AND
later see it go way down. An example, Gearhead rosetone automatic originally about $475
today I got it fro under $250...savings over $200, patience pays off, impulses costs
money...thanks!

B- +1.. did pick up the mid size combat sanIV auto and the funky GMT venom but more for
curiosity. there definitely were some gems. Disappointed in the 'new' stuff. the scuby is nice
but out of my NBZ price range. other than that....

I watched 10+ hours of it and looked at all the program guides and looked at all the watches
and prices.Minus a few surprise watches and prices.I was only tempted on a couple of the
watches (CF auto and the purple dial excursion, scuba is too spendy if it was 600 w/6vps I
would have broken my NBZ and got one.
I give it a C-.
I have bought a Invicta at each event the last year and this year up to this event. This event
ZERO watches.Nothing other then the 3 above that I would even consider.

The Scuba SW 500 and Titanium Coalition Forces Auto seem like great additions to any
collection. I've just learned the hard way with ShopNBC and Invicta in the past by paying
when the watches first aire only to see the watches come way down in price. I wait a year of
so after the watches aire and then purchase if available. I would like to pick up the Scuba
SW 500 but will take my chances and wait. Maybe I'll never get one, but I think its a good
possiblity the prices will come down. That's how I roll.

I'll give it a b+. Two big introductions Coallition Auto and Scuba, both very nice and in my
opinion reasonably priced. Just out of my range this time around wish I had a little more
disposable income to get these two. I think this event had something for everybody and to
me that is what is all about. I actually could not resist and made only one purchase:
my first meteorite dial, $299 was a no brainer for me.
overall great event just wish had a little extra cash.
Congrats to all that pick up the Coallition and the Scuba, the highlights of this event, may be
I'll pick up the next execution.
regards
alex

I don't understand this "gouging" idea. Why is that price so out of line? And Shop is
obviously in this to make money, nothing else. So if you don't like the price, then simply
don't buy. Do you have that same "gouging taste" when you walk into a store, and look at
stuff that is way out of your price range? Just hold onto that cash, and either use it
elsewhere, or be patient, and wait for the Scuba to move into what you deem a reasonable
pricepoint...

While there was some pretty good deals on watches already seen before, I think the
Automatic Coalition Forces and Reserve Scuba single-handedly saved the event from being
just average...I'd give it a B+.
If Invicta hadn't released the SW500 Scuba and Automatic Coalition Forces early, I would've
maybe said B-

I'm going with a solid B- also. It really seemed as if it was the same stuff over and over.
That being said, it cannot be all new pieces every show. I think the ratio could have been a
little better. I got the CF auto and while I may wind up seeing it drop in 31 days, I may not
either.

If you are a WG, then it probably was a so/so event. However, WGs--as most of us know--
represent a tiny portion of those looking/buying from Shop NBC watch shows--didn't Michael
say 2-3% I think. If you only buy one or two watches a year, then the prices are/were not
that bad. I really don't think the Shop prices everything with WGs in mind. I don't think "top
men" at Invicta or Shop NBC stay up nights worrying about how their prices will "play" with
WGs or any particular "special" group--they set prices that they think/hope the general
watch buying public will accept. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are wrong--
as in any retail business.

Got my green viper Imperious for $ 266 and cannot take it off. A total gem to my collection.
I would give this event a "B+" and a job well done. Come on a Vemon for $149 and auto
rosetone Imperious for $244. Many new watches with tons of "once only", Todays Top Valves
and Extra Top values. What more could they have done?

well the guy were entertaining thru out the week...and I got the new bead blasted levi with
the free black hardcase...and promply turned around and scratched the crap out the bead
blasted finish on my brand new watch on a seatbelt in my car.....because no one told me
how soft the blasted finish was...see my huge thread about
it...(http://watchgeeks.net/showthread.php?t=160354)but over all I would give this run of
shows a B in grading it...last yrs was better in my opinion...........

"B" IMO...Couldn't swing the CF Auto. Hard to stay away and ends up with that Field His and
Hers for the holidays stock up. Did snagged the Scobby, wait and see for person if it sings to
me. Didn't know that bracelet use friction pins instead of the screws like were in the RPD.

I think there where some good deals, and some no brainer deal like the Luminary. I didnt
pull the trigger on anything though, first time in many years. The CF Auto is a smokin watch
and the Scuba reserve is amazingly well done and what a bargain just to damn small for my
liking!
B
Congrats to all that scored and got the CF or the Scuba outstanding watches!

I give it a B for being entertaining television, plus I picked up a couple things the first few
days.
