A webinar was organized in collaboration with West Pharma, Hyderabad, India for B. Pharm
(Final year), all the programs of M. Pharm, and PhD students on 7th
December 2020,
Monday. The objectives of the webinar were;
1. Overview of West 2. A basic understanding of Injectable Packaging 3. Evolution of customer needs in Injectable Packaging 4. Understanding of Devices and different platforms available today
The speaker of the webinar was Mr. Alagu Subramaniam, Managing Director, West Pharma,
India. The webinar started at 2.30 pm, where Mrs. Preethi S, Convenor and Faculty, JSS
College of Pharmacy, Mysuru delivered the welcome speech. The Chairperson of the webinar
Dr. T. M. Pramod Kumar, Principal, JSSCPM and Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, JSS Academy
of Higher Education and Research Mysuru briefed about the objectives of the webinar and
also expressed his interest in collaborating with West Pharma, India. Webinar Chief Guest
Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru
briefed about the university’s research program and conveyed best wishes of Dr. B. Suresh
Sir, President PCI & Pro Chancellor, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research,
Mysuru, Dr. Surinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, JSS Academy of Higher Education &
Research, Mysuru for the webinar.
Mr. Alagu Subramaniam, Speaker, delivered his speech on basic understanding of Injectable
Packaging, Evolution of customer needs in Injectable Packaging, understanding of delivery
devices and different platforms available today for injectables and packaging.
Key points from the webinar were:
1. Overview on Injectable Packaging 2. A deeper insight and learning about the packaging components and type of packaging
components available.
3. An industrial perspective on the pharma packaging trends especially on devices.

Finally, vote of thanks was given by Dr. Amit B Patil. A total of 121 students participated in
the webinar and feedbacks were taken from them. The feedback can be summarized as,
approximately 67% of the participant found the webinar to be very informative. Whereas
5.2% rated the webinar as moderately informative. A detailed graphical feedback
presentation is attached for your kind perusal.
