THE USE OF WATER OR SLEEP FLOTATION MATTRESSES IS PROHIBITED.

ALWAYS USE GUARDRAILS ON BOTH LONG SIDES OF THE UPPER BUNK. IF THE BUNK BED

WILL BE PLACED NEXT TO THE WALL, THE GUARDRAIL THAT RUNS THE FULL LENGTH OF

THE BED SHOULD BE PLACED AGAINST THE WALL TO PREVENT ENTRAPMENT BETWEEN

THE BED AND WALL (APPLICABLE FOR BUNK BEDS WITH FULL LENGTH GUARDRAILS ON

ONE SIDE).

PERIODICALLY CHECK AND ENSURE THAT THE GUARDRAIL, LADDER AND OTHER

COMPONENTS ARE IN THEIR PROPER POSITION, FREE FROM DAMAGE, AND THAT ALL

CONNECTORS ARE TIGHT.

DO NOT ALLOW HORSEPLAY ON OR UNDER THE BED AND PROHIBIT JUMPING ON THE BED.

THE MATTRESS PLATFORM IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT A MATTRESS WITHOUT THE NEED

FOR A POSTURE BOARD OR BOX SPRING.

USE ONLY COIL SPRING MATTRESSES ON BOTH THE UPPER AND LOWER BUNKS. FAILURE

TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN INJURY.

ALWAYS USE THE RECOMMENDED SIZE MATTRESS OR MATTRESS SUPPORT, OR BOTH, TO

HELP PREVENT THE LIKELIHOOD OF ENTRAPMENT OR FALLS.

USE ONLY MATTRESSES WHICH ARE 74"-75" LONG AND 37 1/2" - 38 1/2" WIDE ON UPPER

AND ON LOWER BUNKS. ENSURE THICKNESS OF MATTRESS DOES NOT EXCEED 6".

SURFACE OF MATTRESS MUST BE AT LEAST 5" (127MM) BELOW THE UPPER EDGE OF

GUARDRAILS.

DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN UNDER 6 YEARS OF AGE TO USE THE UPPER BUNK.

ALWAYS USE THE LADDER FOR ENTERING AND LEAVING THE UPPER BUNK.

PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER (NOT INCLUDED) IS REQUIRED.

A RUBBER MALLET (NOT INCLUDED) IS RECOMMENDED TO FACILITATE ASSEMBLY.

READ EACH STEP CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EACH STEP

OF INSTRUCTION IS PERFORMED IN THE CORRECT ORDER. IF THESE STEPS ARE NOT

FOLLOWED IN SEQUENCE, ASSEMBLY DIFFICULTIES WILL OCCUR AND CAN RESULT IN

INJURY.

ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.

ASSEMBLY WILL REQUIRE TWO PEOPLE.

MOST BOARD PARTS ARE LABELED OR STAMPED ON THE RAW EDGE.

MAKE SURE ALL PARTS ARE INCLUDED. WORK IN SPACIOUS AREA, PREFERABLY ON A

SMOOTH SOFT SURFACE.

BED IS DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN RANGING FROM 6 YEARS OF AGE TO YOUNG TEENAGERS.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. We do not recommend the use of chemical cleaners or wax on

our lacquered furniture as it may damage the finish. Keep solvents, alcohol, nail polish and polish

removers away from your hardwood furniture surfaces.

DOREL ASIA warrants its product to be free from defects in material and workmanship and agrees

to remedy any such defect. This warranty covers 1 year from the date of original purchase. This

warranty is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase. This is solely limited to the repair or

replacement of defective furniture components and no assembly labor is included. This warranty

does not apply to any product which has been improperly assembled, subjected to misuse or abuse

NOTES: Top headboard top cross (G) and top headboard bottom cross (H) may require that they

be pulled closer together or further apart in order to allow wood dowels (7) to align with holes in

top posts (A and B).

Insert stoppers (13) and top headboard slats (K) into the holes of the top headboard bottom cross

(H) and push down until firmly in place. Slide top headboard top cross (G) onto top headboard

slats (K). Insert wood dowels (7) into ends of top headboard top cross (G) and bottom cross (H).

Attach top posts (A & B) using wood joint connectors (3) as shown.

STEP 1

One of the top headboard top cross (G) has a label on it. Use it in this step.

STEP 2


Repeat the previous step to assemble the remaining top headboard using top posts (C & D).

Repeat Step #1 to assembly the bottom headboards using bottom headboard slats (L), bottom

headboard top cross (I), bottom headboard bottom cross (J), and bottom posts (E & F).

NOTE: Bottom headboard top cross (I) has 2 holes on it to insert metal dowels in Step 7. One

hole is located near the center, the other is an end. Make sure that one bottom post (E) and

one bottom post (F) are each attached to the end of one bottom top cross (I) with the metal

dowel holes. Refer to above illustration for the exact location.

Attach the two bottom headboards with bottom posts (E and F) to bottom side rails (O) using

joint connectors (1) and barrel nuts (8) as shown.

Note: This is the lower bunk.

You've finished assmebling the lower bunk.

Attach a bottom slat without hole (X) onto bottom side rails (O) of the bottom bunk (as close to

the headboard as possible) with flat head screws (4). Attach the other slats (X & Y) to the bottom

side rails (O) with flat head screws (4) using a Phillips head screwdriver (not included). Use

space block (A1) to space the slats out evenly as shown.

NOTE: If you notice that any of the slats (X & Y) are not perfectly flat, be sure to assemble them

so that the slats (X & Y) curves up in the middle and down on the ends.

Attach the support post (Z) to bottom slats with 1 hole (Y) of the bottom bunk with joint

connectors (12) and hex key (9) as shown.

STEP 5

Insert a wood dowel (7) into each end of the long guardrails (P). Attach two long guardrails

(P) and two top side rails (M and N) to top posts (A and B) & (C and D) as shown. Fasten

top side rails (M and N) with joint connectors (1) and barrel nuts (8). Fasten long guardrails

(P) with wood joint connectors (3). Use hex key (9) to tighten all joint connectors (1).

STEP 6

Attach a top slat (W) onto top side rails (M & N) of the top bunk (as close to the headboard as

possible) with flat head screws (4). Attach the other slats (W) to the top side rails (M & N) with flat

head screws (4). Use space block (A1) to space them out evenly.

NOTE: If you notice that any of the slats (W) are not perfectly flat, be sure to assemble them so

that the slats (W) curves up in the middle and down on the ends.

Insert wood dowel (7) into each end of the short guardrails (Q). Attach two short guardrails (Q) to

short guardrail posts (V1 & V2) with wood joint connectors (3) as shown. Attach the short

guardrail posts (V1 & V2) to top side rail (M) with joint connectors (12) and hex cap (10) as

shown.

Attach the guardrail leg (R) to long guardrails (P) and top side rail (N) with flat head

screws (5).

Insert four metal dowels (6) into the holes in the bottom headboard top crosses (I).

With the help if another peson, stack the top bunk onto the bottom bunk.

STEP 8

To assemble the ladder, insert wood dowels (7) into the end of the ladder steps (U). Attach

left ladder end (S) and right ladder end (T) to ladder steps (U) with wood joint connectors

(2) and hex key (9).

Attach the ladder to the top side rail (M) with flat head screw (11) as shown.
