EAST SANDWICH, MASSACHUSETTS
Celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy April 8, 2018 at 3:00pm
Next Sunday, we celebrate a special event called Divine Mercy Sunday. Come to the Feast of Divine Mercy and drink deeply of the desire of your life. The Lord’s desire for you is an infinite ocean of love and mercy. The feast emerges from the depths of the Lord’s mercy (see St. Faustina’s Diary entry #420) and the Lord pours out a whole ocean of graces – upon souls who approach the fount of His Mercy on that day. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to the Lord, even though its sins be as scarlet. The mercy of the Lord is so great that no mind, be it of man or angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity (see Diary 699). Don’t let your sins of the past be an obstacle. Approach the “Tribunal of Mercy” (Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession). The Lord’s presence is only veiled by the presence of the priest (see Diary 1602). St. Faustina, “the great apostle of Divine Mercy in our time” recorded the words of the Lord about His desire for the salvation of souls and His desire for our holiness: “How very much I desire the salvation of souls! My dearest secretary, write that I want to pour My Divine Life into human souls and to sanctify them if only they were willing to accept My grace. The greatest sinners would achieve great sanctity, if only they would Trust in My Mercy….” (Diary 1784).

Parents, Please Note: There are no Faith Formation classes Sunday, April 15 through Tuesday, April 16. Classes resume on Sunday, April 22 and will extend to May 1, 2018.
FIRST COMMUNION PARENT MEETING A meeting for parents of grade 2 students receiving First Holy Communion this year, will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 7:00pm in the Parish Hall.
FIRST COMMUNION REHEARSAL First Communion Rehearsal will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 11:00am. Grade 2 students are asked to go to St. Theresa Hall in the Parish Center.

Confirmation Two (grade 9) will meet on Sunday, April 8 from 6:00pm—7:30pm.
Confirmation Penance Service: The Confirmation Two Penance Service will take place in the Church on Monday, April 23 at 7:00pm. Confirmation Mass: Our Confirmation Mass, with Bishop Edgar da Cunha presiding, will be held on Friday, April 27 at 7:00pm. Rehearsal for candidates and sponsors will take place on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00pm.
SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE & DONUTS On Sunday, April 8, coffee and donuts will be hosted by the Men’s Retreat participants. We thank them for their hospitality. On April 15, it will be hosted by the Small Group Ministry.

EXPOSITION OF SACRED RELICS

On Monday, April 9, Father Carlos Martins of the Companions of the
Cross will present the Treasures of the
Church. Over 150 relics will be shown, some believed to be as old as 2000 years. The veneration of relics is a communion with the heroes of our Christian faith, asking for their powerful intercession. Many people have reported outstanding blessings and conversions through this ministry, and many have reported healings.
