General information

The significance of paper as a particle generating source in cleanrooms is often underestimated. Ordinary paper is made from cellulose. Hence mechanical abra-sion, occurring on writing or printing on it, sheds reams of particles. This is particularly true for notebooks and notepads which could contribute to the contamination of the cleanroom atmosphere with a simple touch.

In our range we offer you products made from specially cleanroom suitable materials for nearly all scopes of application.

Cleanroom paper made of treated cellulose, as single sheets or boundOur paper is saturated and coated with a special polymer compound, which reduces particle generation and chemical outgasing. Cleanroom paper shows the following features:

Within the scope of cleanroom appropriate documentation, cleanroom log-books constitute a speciality.

They feature obvious logbook pagination: every page is numbered consecutively (e.g. page 4 of 34) so that the removal of a page will stand out. GMP appropri-ate documentation is thus easy to implement.

Based on the cellulose and latex-free CleanPrint 10® technology, which feature amongst others excellent purity values, the logbooks can be created in customer specific layouts when sufficiently large quantities are enquired. Also the use of RFID technology can be considered. Other features are good writing properties, partly chemical resistance and water resistance.

Cleanroom compatible paper, cleanroom compatible folders and pens can in principle be recommended for all cleanroom classes from ISO 5 up to ISO 9 (or low-dust rooms). Hence we have avoided showing a table at this point as we did in other chapters.
