YOUR VOTE IS YOUR

COMMUNITY’S FUTURE……

The Association is once again coming to you, its members, with proposed changes to the documents that

control your community. A Membership Meeting has been called for November 20, 2014, so please add that meeting to your calendar. As promised, we want to make sure you have full knowledge of what those proposed changes are. Our objective is to maintain aesthetic quality and property values of the homes to make Pristine Place the luxury community it is meant to be. Here is a summary for your review:

· Article VII, Section 7 of the Declarations – Parking Restrictions. The DAC (Documents Advisory Committee) recommends changes to clarify the current documents to read more specifically concerning parking of commercial and private passenger vehicles, as well as other types of transport on all lots and commons areas.

· Article VIII, Section 2 of the Declarations – Enforcement. The DAC recommends changing the fining limits from $200 to $100 per violation per day, not to exceed $1000 in 30 days, with addit ional $1000 per subsequent 30 days period up to and not to exceed $5000.

· Article VII, Section 12 of the Declarations – Exterior Antennas, Cable Reception Dishes. The DAC recommends rewording to comply with the current FCC Rules.

· Article VII, Section 17 of the Declarations – Sodding. The DAC recommends requiring sod to be installed upon completion of construction of the dwelling on the entire lot.

· Article VII, Section 22 of the Declarations – Use Restrictions. The DAC recommends redefining fencing location, and a description of permitted chain link fences.

· Article VII, Section 24 of the Declarations – Decks and Above the Ground Pools. The DAC recommends adding: No decks or above the ground pools are permitted.

Again, this is a brief summary, not the official wording. You wi ll be receiving a mailing approximately 14 days prior to the November meeting that will include the proxy for voting along with a copy of the final wording of each amendment and two Resolutions that the BOD will be considering for a vote at the annual meeting. In the meantime, we ask that you review these proposals thoroughly. It is extremely important that you are completely informed and that you vote.

MAKE SURE YOUR VOICE IS HEARD…VOTE!!!!

Keep in mind that when you call 911 from your cell phone, chances are very likely that the dispatcher you are speaking with will NOT no your location.

However, when you call from a "landline phone" they will. When you speak with the dispatcher speak clearly and slowly so they can quickly process your call.

If you need to call the Hernando County Sheriff in a NON-EMERGENCY the phone number is 754-6830. Of course in an emergency the number is 911.

We are always looking for a few additional new crime watch team members. Please feel free to join us at our October meeting to find out what we are all about or call me at 352-428-7387 and I will be happy to spend time speaking with you.

We continue to take your reservations for painting house numbers on the curb in front of your home. The cost is only $15.00 and the value could prove to be priceless . Call. Me to make. Your reservation.

If you will be having a Halloween Party this year, please call me. We can place your name on our list of homes having a party. This will allow us to let your party enter the front gate in a timely manner. If you are not planning to participate in handing out Halloween candy this year, please simply keep your outside house lights off. Enjoy the night!

Be safe out there.

Plant now. Even though temperatures are still warm, begin planting for the cooler months ahead. Dianthus, petunia, and pansy are good annuals for the fall garden. Plant agapanthus, rain lily, and many varieties of lily now for blooms next spring or summer. Add organic matter to the planting bed for best results. Plant crops now that will grow and produce throughout the winter months. This includes beet, Brussels sprout, carrot, and onion.

Keep the birds coming. When you invite birds into your yard by feeding them, they do a fantastic job of keeping the insect population in check, which means you don't have to spray or dust as often to control pests.

Don't forget the garden equipment. Take time to clean your garden equipment storage area, tossing old chemicals — responsibly of course — and taking note of what you'll need to replenish before next spring. A number of gardening products have a shelf life and may lose their effectiveness over time or if they get too hot or too cold. That's particularly true of botanical insecticides such as BT and beneficial fungi. And of course you should tend to your tools. Rub metal tool
