• No marks will be given when a pupil is absent without medical certificate (MC) . A letter from the parent / guardian will not be accepted in this case unless for valid reasons such as the death of closed relatives (e.g. grandparents) will be accepted.
• For pupils who do not produce an MC, a ZERO will be given for that assessment.
• For pupils who has an MC, marks will be pro-rated (for language component, it depends on which is affected). There will be no re-sitting of examination papers for pupils except for oral. An “MC” will be reflected in the result slip.

• The school does not encourage parents to take their children out during term time and parents are to check with the subject teachers with regard to the curriculum that their children will miss as well as the homework that will be given for reinforcement of what has been covered.

Some parents have kids who are picky eaters.
On the other end of the spectrum, some kids
simply overeat.
Rule of thumb when it comes to maintaining
weight is energy balance.
Do look out for the Healthier Choice Symbol on your next trip the supermarket! Include a variety of HCS products as part of a healthy,
balanced diet. However, they should be eaten in moderation.
Use healthier cooking
methods
Choose fresh food rather
than processed or
preserved
Eat less oily food
Shop together at
the supermarket
Do not use food to reward or punish your
child for good or bad
behaviour

•About half the children in Singapore have myopia (short-sightedness) by the time they are 12 years old.
•Your child is more likely to develop myopia if you and/or your spouse suffer from myopia. Unnecessary near work is also known to contribute to myopia.
•Currently there is no cure for myopia.
Do not let your child engage in near work for long,
continuous stretches.
Encourage you child to spend time outdoors everyday
The role of Parents
You can help to delay your child’s
onset and progression of
myopia!
Get your child’s eyes
checked annually.
Teach your child how to take care of
his spectacles.
Encourage your child to take a break
after 30 minutes of near work
