In the nineteenth century when the vogue of this particularly intimate artreached its peak, such musicians as Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Dvoidkwere outstanding participants, both as composers and performers. piano duetrecitals were heard less often during the first half of this century, but in recentyears there has been a strong revival of interest in four-hand performances.

€alas Weekley and Nancy Arganbright Weekley are largely responsiblefor a revival in both listening to and performing piano four hand literafure. pianofour hand music had its beginning in the 18th century and since that time Weekley& Arganbright have presented more piano duet concerts than any other four handduo in the history of this medium. They are credited with being ,,A*urica,s premierone piano four-hand team." Claaier
Thuy have dedicated their lives to sharing this love of four hand music withothers by performing hundreds of concerts in the United States and throughout theworld, and through their publications, their recordings, and annual "four haird fests.,,
Weekley and Arganbright's editions make itpossible forpianists toplay andappreciate the magnificent scope of the repertoire for piano fouihands, to hear andenjoy the added dimension in sound and expression available through this medium, and to be part of an exciting and rewarding experience.
