At Paddington, we are allocated a Learning and Support Teacher 2 days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday. Her name is Miss Malin and she has been working with us for 10 years. We share Miss Malin with Crown Street Public School, where she works 3 days per week. We also have an E/aLD teacher, Mr Anthony Shepherd providing support to our students with English as a second language. In addition to Miss Malin, each year, I as the Principal have chosen to allocate ‘flexible’ school funds to provide extra teaching days to our Learning and Support program. Learning and Support at our School Over the last few days I have had some enquires regarding the Learning and Support Team at our school and how Learning and Support operates. We will once again use the online booking system called School Interviews. Specific instructions for logging in and making a booking can be found on Page 5. The site is open for bookings, please log in and book in a time as soon as possible, BOOKINGS CLOSE Thursday 18 March at 3pm. I encourage all families to make an appointment with your

High School Applications for all Year 6 Students

It is now time for parents of Year 6 students to begin the process of completing and submitting applications for high school placement in 2022. Please note the following information:

Each form indicates your designated local high school based on your address. You will havethe option to apply for your local high school, apply for a non-local placement or indicate that

you do not require a placement for your child in a NSW government school in 2022. A form

needs to be returned for every child regardless of the option you select.

All forms need to be returned to your child’s class teacher NO LATER than Wednesday 10March 2021.

It was a wonderful day at the Des Renford Aquatic Centre, where thirteen of our fastest swimmers represented Paddington Public School in the Zone Swimming Competition. Our Paddington Public School zone representatives put their best strokes forward on the day, in highly competitive heats, as they strived for their personal best.

Congratulations to Sophie and Mathilda from 3B, who came 2nd and 3rd place respectively, in the Girls 9 Years 50m Freestyle competition. They have been invited to represent Paddington Public School at the regional swimming competition later this month. A special thanks is extended to the parents and carers who made the day possible. Thank you also to Mr Cusack for working behind the scenes to ensure the day ran smoothly for all participants. Well done, Paddington!
