• Padini Holdings Berhad sells both men's and ladies’ shoes and accessories, garments, ancillary products, children’s garments, maternity wear and accessories through various subsidiaries. Its most prominent brands are Padini and VINCCI.
Background
• The Padini Concept Store is a concept which houses all Padini Holdings brands under one roof or “one-stop-shopping”. The first of such outlets was opened in 1 Utama, Malaysia in the mid 2000s. Padini Holdings Bhd focuses on fast retailing, where new products come online within weeks.
Prominent brands
• PADINIPadini’s emphasis is on an updated look and feel for the classic corporate wear that is reinterpreted with unique details and silhouettes.• VINCCIA footwear brand that focuses on chic and affordability. It also sells watches, sunglasses, PVC handbags and bead accessories.• MIKIThe two brands under the MIKI flag are: MIKI Kids and MIKI Maternity. MIKI Kids are designed for toddlers while Miki Maternity is designed for fashionable mums-to-be.• SEEDSEED focuses on urban office-wear for the masses. Affordable and forward-looking.• Padini AuthenticsThis brand focuses on quality casual wear. Its targets the teenager segment of the market.

Nowadays, fashion industry is one of the dominant economic sector in Malaysia. Thus, it attract a lot of international fashion companies to invest in this country. All fashion companies such as Padini need to compete among them to ensure their products stay as customers first choice in Malaysia.
Solution
• Introduce various design.
• Reasonable price but good quality.
• Always interact with customer to know their current needs.
• Always do promotion.
• Friendly environment in store.
• Educate the customers.
• Strategic locations.
Disadvantages of Solutions• Risk in cost for marketing if they don’t properly
plan a strategy.• Need to invest a lot time for experimenting the
solutions.• Some customer look upon the feedback mail as
‘junk’ mail.• Waste design if it does not attract and satisfy
costumers.• Introduce various of product design can increase
the competition among other company products.
Conclusion• Padini Concept Store company is one of the most
popular fashion store in Malaysia.• Padini Holdings possess high chance to compete
with local competitors even international competitors if they emphasize the proposed solutions.• They must plan to implement the solutions with
a proper strategy in order to reduce the risks.• The company must take risks in marketing in
order to dominate fashion industry in Malaysia.
