FRIENDS OF SEMINOLE STATE FOREST
Friends of Seminole State Forest is a newly formed organization seeking to pro-
mote awareness and enjoyment of the Seminole State Forest, right here in East
Lake County.
We are seeking volunteers to assist at our Dinner at the Carter House on Octo-
ber 11 and 12. On October 11, we need set-up assistance. On October 12, we
need assistance setting up, guiding our guests, answering questions, and break-
ing down. A delicious dinner will be served to our volunteers! This event is be-
ing put on to raise funds for the renovation of the Carter House in hopes of in-
creasing the accessibility of the part of the Forest near the intersection of SR 44
and 44A.

SORRENTO FARMER’S MARKET
We are in the construction stages of building The Sorrento Farmer's Market! We are in need of volunteers who would be interested in becoming part of the SFM Committee. As of now, there are four areas we need to fill: Vendor Recruiting; Advertising & Marketing; Special Events; and Parking & Grounds. We will need a volunteer to head up each area. Once we receive a list of 10-12 volunteers we will announce a meeting date/time. If you would like to become a vendor, it will be a minimal fee to all members of the East Lake Cham-ber of Commerce and we are projecting a fall date.
Anyone interested in becoming a committee volunteer, please email your name, email address, phone #, along with your business name to [email protected] and in the subject line please enter "SFM". If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please stay posted for fu-ture announcements.
