Both features in the SportMod features ended in last-lap passes for the win.

In the August 12th make-up feature, Colby Langenberg made a pass on Eric Haase in the final turn of the race to take his fourth win of the season.

Haase led 11 of the 15-laps run in the feature. Jeremy Gnat of Battle Creek ran second to Haase before falling to third when Langenberg got by on lap seven.

Kyle Prauner of Norfolk

made a last lap pass on Justin Addison of Norfolk in the sec-ond feature of the night. Addi-son had led 11 laps after Haase had led the first eight laps.

It was Prauner’s second win of the season and his 22nd career win at the track.

Addison second place gave him his 11th top 5 finish of the season. Langenberg slipped past Haase with five laps re-maining to take third. Haase was fourth and Joey Haase finished fifth.

Ramsey Meyer picked up his 10th and 11th victory of the season as he led 18 of the pos-sible 22 laps.

Mark Benedict of Norfolk led three of the other four laps in the two features combined, as Tanner Uehling of Norfolk led one.

In the make-up feature, Meyer led 11 laps for the win with Brooke Fluckiger of Co-lumbus taking second. Kyle Shutt of Atkinson took third and Shannon Pospisil of Nor-folk placed fourth.

Rounding out the top 5 was Benedict.

In the regular night’s fea-ture, Meyer and Pospisil put on a show the two drivers went side-by-side for the final seven laps.

Pospisil’s car worked well through turns one and two while Meyer’s car worked well on the exit of three and fourth.

Meyer took the win by a car length, as Pospisil took second for the second time this season.

Fluckiger took third, as Dustin Jackson of O’Neill placed fourth. Uehling rounded out the top 5.

Shannon Pospisil (00) leads Ramsey Meyer (21R) and Tanner Uehling (58T) out of turn two during the second fea-ture. Meyer won his 11th feature while Pospisil took second. Meyer also won the fi rst feature of the night.

Mark Benedict (79) took a fi fth and sixth place fi nish last week. Kyle Shutt (12s) took third in the fi rst feature and was seventh in the second one. Jule Haller (7m) placed seventh and ninth in the features.

In only his third start in the Stock Car division, Travis Birkley of Wakefield crossed the line first in the August 12 make-up feature, as Jason Wilkinson of Neligh captured his sixth feature win of the season.

Birkley led all 15 laps after starting on the pole. Second went to Shawn Primrose of Norfolk. Primrose broke into the top 3 on lap seven. By lap 12 he was running second.

Third went to Tiffany Bittner of Norfolk, who passed Doug Adamy of Columbus on the final lap for the position.

In the second feature of the

night, Wilkinson took advan-tage of the only caution on lap 6 when he went from fourth to running side-by-side with Marty Steinbach of Fremont for the lead, one lap after the restart.

Wilkinson led the final nine laps to pick up his sixth win of the season. He son, Kyle Wilkinson, also of Neligh, finished second. The younger Wilkinson broke into the top 3 on lap seven and was running second by lap nine of the 15-lap feature.

Chad Bruns of Wayne took third. He moved into the posi-tion on lap 11.

Gage Koch (96) won the B feature and raced his way to a seventh place fi nish in the feature.

Travis Birkley (78) races with Fred DeSive (31K) during the fi rst of two features. Birkley won the feature and later fi nished sixth in the second one.

Columbus’ Sal Hernandez led seven laps on Aug. 12 be-fore the night was called and with half the laps completed the race was called giving Hernan-dez his first win at the track.

Jeremy Hoskinson of Nor-folk won last week’s feature, giving him his third victory of the season.

Hernandez used the high line to go from his 10th place start-ing position fourth in one lap. He continued the momentum and as the drivers completed the second lap, Hernandez was three-wide for the lead with Jim Kimmel and Colby Kaspar of Norfolk.

Hernandez and Kimmel went side-by-side down the back stretch, but Hernandez pulled away on the exit of turn four to take the top spot.

Seven laps later a caution was thrown and then red came

out ending the feature.Hernandez took the win for

his third top 5 (at the time) of the season. Kaspar took his career best finish at second. Hoskinson finished third with Kimmel taking fourth. Round-ing out the top 5 was Cameron Wilkinson of Neligh.

In last week’s feature, Hoskinson followed Jay Poessnecker of Ames on the first laps, however, he would lead the next 14 laps to take his third win of the season.

Hernandez took home sec-ond to give him four top 5s in six starts at the track. Points leader Austin Brauner of St. Edward finished third, making the pass for the position with four laps remaining.

Wilkinson took another top 5 finishing fourth. Poessnecker fell back to fifth for his third top 5 in five starts at the track.

Two Late Model drivers saw their first victories of the season, with one seeing his first career victory at the track in the class.

Nelson Vollbrecht of Stanton moved up to the Late Model division three nights ago and has already pulled into victory lane.

Ben Sukup of Norfolk won the make-up race from August 12th night, as he led all 25 laps for his first win of the season and his fifth career win at the track. He also has the most laps led in the three years at the track with 139 laps.

Second went to Robert Osborne of Norfolk. Osborne broke into the top 3 by

lap 12 of the 25-lap feature. A lap later he was running second.

Third went to Travis Birkley of Wakefield. He ran second after eight laps before Osborne made the pass for the position.

In the regular night show, Vollbrecht started on the pole and led the first 10 laps before Devin Johnson of Bloomfield got out front to lead the next five laps.

Johnson started fading as Vollbrecht managed to regain the top spot and lead the final five laps.

Johnson was second with Zach Zentner of Cedar Rapids taking third.
