IN MEMORIAM In Memory of Loving Husband, Father, & Papaw Milla Dean Gibson who passed away Dec. 27, 2011 One sad and lonely year is to pass since the night God called you home. The shock still lin- gers in my heart, for I miss you more each day. When evening shadows are falling and I sit at home alone, in my heart there comes a long- ing that you could once more come home. You ask me how I can be content here to stay just sitting by an empty chair each evening of the day. It’s hard for you to under- stand, but to one alone like me, his chair is never empty for it’s filled with memory. At times he seems to come again and rest here by my side. I sit and hold his loving hand as when I was his bride. And then he safely slips away and then its when I feel alone. I miss his gentle touch, footsteps and his sweet voice tone. Someday when he is leaving I think I’ll slip away and leave behind two empty chairs and go with him to stay. The birth of Christ is God coming to us so we can go to Him. The message came from Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Household Hints • Use a hand held can opener to open small items that are packaged in the tough plastic such as small parts of batteries. • Keep extension cords free of tangles by storing in the cardboard roller for toilet paper. • Wrap Christmas decorative lights around a coat hanger to keep them free of tangles. • Protect your wood table from liquid or food spills by placing a layer of plastic wrap under the tablecoth. • Use rubbing compound to remove scratches on marble or minor scratches on plexiglass. • Buff our minor scratches on plexiglass or marble with rubbing compound. made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. All the prophesies of a saviour was fulfilled through Jesus Christ thus the fullness of time had come. Every birth has changed the course of history and our lives. Suppose you have never been born, how would it effect all the lives around you? Or say your spouse was never born, how would that change your life? Think of everyone that was ever born, whose life would effect you the most if they had never been born. There has never been anyone like Jesus Christ that has changed history and lives like he has. Even time and our calendars are based around his birth. Jesus didn't come to con- demn the world, but the world through him might be saved. Some may think of God as someone who wants to pun- ish us but that is so far from the truth. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Because Jesus came into the world he can change your life. Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. Jesus can make you the person that God intended you to be. Scrip- ture said "unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given"; have you accepted him into your life yet? Come worship with us, we preach about things like this. For prayer requests or com- ments, contact us by phone at 743-4736 or email kar- [email protected], we'll be glad to hear from you. Until next week may the Lord bless you is our prayer. Your Pastor and Friend Karl Elam I GOT IT THAT WAY Some people don’t believe in deliverance from sin. “It’s all an illusion”, They say, “For a man to declare that he knows He got saved”. But brother, I got it that way. I got it that way, Hallelujah and still I possess it today. Some people may doubt when the victory I shout, “I got it, I got it that way.” They tell us to just find a church of our choice and start right into work from that day. Some others I know sign their names on a card. But brother, I didn’t get it that way. They say it’s unscriptural to kneel at a bench or an old-fashioned alter to pray. I have only one argu- ment, brother, for that. I got it, I got it that way. Don’t forget to renew your subscription!

IN MEMORIAM

In Memory of LovingHusband, Father, & Papaw

Milla Dean Gibsonwho passed away Dec. 27,

2011One sad and lonely year is to

pass since the night God called you home. The shock still lin-gers in my heart, for I miss you more each day.

When evening shadows are falling and I sit at home alone, in my heart there comes a long-ing that you could once more come home.

You ask me how I can be content here to stay just sitting by an empty chair each evening of the day.

It’s hard for you to under-stand, but to one alone like me, his chair is never empty for it’s filled with memory.

The message came from Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. We celebrate Christmas as the time of Jesus' birth. Galatians 4:4-5 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,

made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Jesus didn't come to con-demn the world, but the world through him might be saved. Some may think of God as someone who wants to pun-

ish us but that is so far from the truth. Scrip-ture said "unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given"; have you accepted him into your life yet? Come worship with us, we preach about things like this.

I GOT IT THAT WAYSome people don’t believe

in deliverance from sin. I have only one argu-ment, brother, for that. I got it, I got it that way.
