PARTS LIST REVISION SERVICE
GENERAL
Subscribers to the MoPar Passenger Car Parts List Revision Service will be provided with revision pages on ascheduled monthly basis. Proper interfiling of the revision pages will insure the subscriber a complete and up-to-dateParts Book.
Accompanying each mailing of a set of revision pages is a covering letter which outlines the contents of the particularrevision: Group Name, Group Number, and Page Numbers being eliminated, replaced, or added to each revised group. It is advised that the letter be read carefully to avoid elimination of pages which are still current.
INTERFILING REVISION PAGES
The importance of prompt interfiling of revision pages upon receipt cannot be stressed too greatly.
The initial order for the Revision Service includes a post binder with the best operating mechanism available forthis particular service.
The following method for interfiling revised and new pages has been found to be efficient and time saving and isrecommended for your use:
1. Insert the revised pages loosely in their proper location in the book.
2. Pull the locking trigger and lift the transfer bar with all pages down to the first loose revision sheet whichhas been inserted in its proper location.
3. Compare the revised (loose) page with the superseded page, noting changes.
NOTE: If you use the revised pages as part of your parts record-keeping system, note the changes in the revised(loose) page and post accordingly.
4. Remove superseded page.
5. Place revised page on post of transfer bar.
6. Replace transfer bar with all pages in place on bottom post.
7. Re-lock cover and your book is current and accurate.

PART TYPE CODE SYSTEM
To simplify the listing and locating of individual parts, a system of Part Type Codes is used in this Parts List.
To illustrate, a Type of Part will be indicated as:
2-03-3 KNUCKLE, w/BUSHING
This code is broken down as follows:
2- Indicates the Major Group: "Group 2 -- Front Suspension"
-03 Indicates the Sub Group: "03 — Steering Knuckle"
-3 Indicates the Code for the specific name of the part: "Knuckle, w/Bushing"
Part Type Code 2-03-3 will always appear as "KNUCKLE, w/BUSHING."
VEHICLE SERIAL NUMBER PLATE
The Vehicle Serial Number Plate is located either on the left front door hinge pillar or on the front of the dash underthe hood on the right side.
If you are not sure of the correct part number when ordering parts for a specific vehicle, always specify the VehicleSerial Number.

ENGINE NUMBER
LOCATING ENGINE NUMBER
A boss is provided on all cylinder blocks upon which the Engine Number is stamped. For 6-cylinder engines, thisis located on the left side of the block at the front and below the cylinder head. For 8-cylinder engines, it will befound on the top of the cylinder block behind the water pump, except on the Plymouth MP2, where it is located on thefront of the block beneath the left-hand (driver's side) cylinder head.
IMPORTANT
MoPar Engines are supplied with blank engine number bosses only. Dealers are governed by state law on theapplication of engine numbers. In states where license fees are based on displacement or taxable horsepower, it willbe necessary to change Vehicle Registration if the new MoPar Engine differs from the one which it replaces.
ILLUSTRATIONS
Illustrations are located at the beginning of each group. Parts are identified on the illustration by Noun Name andPart Type Code. The Part Type Code designation will serve as an index to locate the listing in the Group.
PAGE NUMBERING
Two-part page numbers are used throughout this list. The first part of the page designation indicates the majorgroup or section. The second part indicates the actual page number in the group. For example:
1-1 indicates Group 1, Accessories, Page 1
2-1 indicates Group 2, Front Suspension, Page 1
In the maintenance of the Loose Leaf Parts List Revision Service, it may become necessary to add informationbeyond the capacity of the page. In this event, an "A" page will be used. For example: If it becomes necessary, because of change, to add several part numbers to page 2-1 and space does not permit the addition, you will be givenPage 2-1 A. Page 2-1A should be filed immediately following page 2-1.
ALPHABETICAL INDEX
Reference to any part by sub-group name is provided in the Alphabetical Index. This index indicates the Part TypeCode, by means of which the listing can be quickly located.
NUMERICAL INDEX
Reference to any part by part number is provided in the Numerical Index. This index indicates the Part Type Code.

SECTION II
ORDERING INFORMATION
FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS
For ease in ordering and speed in shipping, MoPar replacement parts have been coded according to Stocking Point. These codes are explained in the Parts Price List.
Because items with certain codes are available at different Stocking Points, it is important that parts orders bedeveloped separately for each Stocking Code ("P", "N", or "D"]k
HOW TO ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS
1. Price Class "A", " B " , and " S " Parts (in " P " Section Parts Price List)
a) These parts may be ordered separately or combined on the same order for a single shipment.
b) The total value of the "Base Prices" for all the part numbers of the above parts classes that are included onthe same order qualifies that order for any applicable Volume Discounts and/or Allowances off of such "BasePrices."
c) "Base Prices" means the "Net Prices" published from time to time in column #6 of the Parts Price List andits supplements.
d) All Mail Orders (Scheduled, Unscheduled, Emergency)
(1) Use Standard Order Form 4615 exclusively for ordering " P " Section items from your usual source of MoParparts.
(2) Send all such orders by First Class Mail.
e) Back Orders
(1) Stock Orders - Back Orders from all classes of Stock Orders sent to Area Parts Plants will be held(Scheduled, at the Area Parts Plants.Unscheduled)
If the original orders so qualified, transportation will be prepaid on shipments of backorders. Otherwise, transportation charges will be F.O.B.
The billing for all back order shipments will be subject to the prices in effect on thedate of shipment as applied to the value basis at which the original order qualified.
(2) Emergency - Back Orders from Emergency Orders will be referred for shipment to the nearestOrders Parts Plant where such items are available.
All shipments will be F.O.B. shipping point, and billing will be subject to the pricesin effect on the date of shipment.
2. Price Class "X" Parts (in "N and D" Section of Parts Price List)
a) Since these are inactive part numbers that seldom warrant stocking in the field, they usually are ordered onlywhen needed for a particular service job.
b) Accordingly, speed in receiving, processing and shipping such orders is vital to you, to us, and to the public, and we have "tuned up" for this job independently of the processing for Stock Orders. In effect, every orderwill be handled as an Emergency Order.
c) An important part of this accelerated "line-up" is two separate self-identifying order forms. A supply of theseforms has been sent to all Dealers, Dodge Truck Centers and Parts Wholesalers, and will continue to beavailable gratis upon request.
