The fundingwould be used for the High Carbon Fly Ash project. This project would allow for the conversion ofcurrently unusable high-carbon fly ash from coal-fired power plants into a usable product. Goals ofthis program include: reduced C0 2 emissions from coal-fired power plants and C02 produced byconcrete industry; reduction of fly ash disposed at landfills ; and use of fly ash by cement producers . The funding will be used for the construction ofa Town Hall that makes useof energy efficient geothermal technologies for climate control.
