Paint Inspection

We understand the cost of corrosion or the poor applicationof protective coatings. In the UK last year corrosion cost UKbusinesses over 60bn in reparation or new builds.Our survey reports are in depth with picture evidence. Weinclude coatings failure analysis as well as paint toxicityanalysis and we work with clients to nd out exactly whatthey require from individual surveys.

During inspections we work with clients and contractorsto make sure that each stage of application is completedwithin the specication. We consult paint manufacturers tomake sure all product tolerances are taken into account.

We complete full application inspections, including air andtemperature readings, wet/dry lm checks, paint batchcontrol, and mixing observation, to nal nish sign off.

IRATA Rope Access Inspection

Our IRATA qualied Paint Inspectors enable us to work onstructures at height, often reducing the cost of having toimplement a temporary working platform.

Industrial Rope Access is a proven method of achieving asafe work position at height or in areas of difcult access.

IRATA is the sole global trade association in the work-at-height sector.

Paint Analysis and Environmental Testing

Caring for the environment and workforce is of uppermostimportance. We take samples of paint to be tested in thelaboratory for toxic substances such as Lead and Chromium.

We will also complete air sampling on site reporting all thetime on the impact of the on-going work.

Samples can often be turned around in under 48 hours,supported with a comprehensive report and details on paintlayering and thickness if required. This can either be partof a full coatings survey or a bespoke report depending onindividual client requests.

Environmental checks are of major importance for the workforce as VOCs are a contributing factor to respiratory illness.In addition, bad layer ozone can have a corrosive effect on

certain man-made materials: for example, it accelerates thedeterioration and fading of certain paints.We work with clients and contractors to minimise the impacton the environment and constantly strives to deliver betterquality and safer working practices, ensuring contaminationcontrol, and correct encapsulation, of high risk workingareas.
