Las Islas Marietas fueron decretadas Área Natural Protegida el 25 de abril de 2005 debido a su importancia como hábitat de anidación y descanso para las aves marinas.

De las 92 especies de aves que habitan en las dos islas, las más emblemáticas son el Bobo Café y el Bobo patas Azules.

En la zona marina podemos encontrar 115 especies diferentes de peces de arrecife, de colores vibrantes y llamativos, como el Ángel Real y el Arcoíris de Cortés. Este mapa muestra otras especies que pueden ser encontradas aquí.

Recuerda no alimentar a los animales, su ecosistema ya les proporciona los alimentos que necesitan.

Este lugar, desde el 2008, es considerado Reserva de la Biósfera por la UNESCO.

Recuerda que estás visitando un Área Natural Protegida y ante todo nos importa tu bienes-tar, por lo que las diferentes actividades que pueden realizarse en el Parque Nacional Islas Marietas están sujetas a que las condiciones climáticas lo permitan.

The park became a Natural Protected Area on April 25, 2005 thanks to its importance as a nesting and resting habitat for several marine birds.

Of the 92 species of birds that can be found on the two islands, the most iconic are the Brown Booby and the Blue-Footed Booby.

In the surrounding waters we can �nd 115 species of di�erent reef �sh with vibrant and rich colors, such as the King Angel Fish and the Cortez Rainbow Wrasse. This map has some other species that can be seen here.

Please remember wildlife doesn’t need to be fed, their ecosystem provides them all the food they need.

This place is considered a Biosphere Reserve since 2008 by UNESCO.

Also remember that you are visiting a Protec-ted Natural Area and above all we care about your safety, so the various activities available in the Marietas Islands National Park, are subject to weather conditions.
