In case of use of single glass in window glasses, sunlight and sun heat can be exploited but there is a considerable heat escape from the building to outside in winter.Increasing the thickness of the single glass does not contribute to heat insulation.• By using double glass instead of single glass, it will be possible to provide energy saving by reducing the escape of the building heat to outside from the glass and create a comfortable living environment.• Double glass is obtained by combining two glass plates in plant conditions to involve dry air or some inert glasses among them. Better heat insulation is provided through Isıcam Klasik units whose both glasses consist of clean float glasses when compared to single glass. However, the best heat insulation can be obtained by Isıcam Sinerji and Isıcam Konfor units where Low-E or Solar Low-E is used.

* That glass and side materials are used in appropriate quality and quantity,

* That manufacturing is always performed in appropriate conditions and by using modern technologies is assured.* Isıcam is guaranteed by Isıcam Authorized Manufacturer for 10 years against defects arising from manufacturing. * Not all Double Glasses are Isıcam.* To make sure you are buying Isıcam; -Request the 10-year

warranty certificate of Isıcam Authorized Manufacturer,-Check the “Isıcam” word on the intermediate gap strip and the

name of Isıcam Authorized Manufacturer.-Check the Isıcam label on the glass.-Check the hologram label on the intermediate gap strip in Isıcam

Sinerji and Isıcam Konfor.

Isıcam is an insulation glass unit which reduces heat escapes in

half when compared to single glass and formed by uniting two

or more plates together in plant conditions to involve dry air or

gases appropriate for ambient pressure among them.Interior

sealant (polyisobutylene)

Exterior sealant (Polysulfide, Polyurethane or Silicone) Isıcam

units can be formed with clean, blend-coloured, sun and heat

control coated or ground, laminated, tempered and enamel

glass panels.humectant within the intermediate gap molding

Isıcam units provide insulation by delaying heat transfer

between indoors and outdoors. Its insulation is less when

compared to Isıcam Klasik, Isıcam Konfor and Isıcam Sinerji.

New generation insulation glass Isıcam Sinerji reduces heat

loss 50% when compared to standard double glass thanks to

its heat control feature.

It reduces the energy you spend for heating and provides

saving from fuel expenses.Heat control coated Isıcam Sinerji does not sacrifice from light while exploiting sun light in the maximum rate.

It prevents windowfronts to be cold in winter.

If you prefer Isıcam Sinerji instead of standard double glass, the

additional expense you make will return to you in 1-2 years by

the energy saving you make.

heat insulation glasses

Its use with standard double glass instead of single glass in heat insulation decreases heat losses in half. However, Low-e

coating glasses were developed as a result of intense works done in glass technology in order to have more effective heat

insulation and thus energy saving with the glass.

With the use of these kinds of glasses, the escape of the warmth in indoors to outside is prevented and better insulation is

ensured.

*It is obtained through the application of a thin metal/metal oxide layer with off-line coating technology on the float glass

(electron scattering method in the vacuum environment).

*It is in the closest appearance of the clean float glass. It does not prevent daylight.

Low-E Coating Glass

*It reduces heat transmission from inside the building to the outside and keeps the entrance of sunlight into the building

high and makes saving from heating expenses.

*Prevents the formation of cold region in windowfronts.

*It reduces the entrance of UV lights into indoors and enables the things to protect their natural colour for longer.

*Delays the condensations in the glass surface.nd rd*Low-E should be used in the double glass structure and such that coated surface is inside (2 or 3 surface).

*Double glass units which are made with Low-E reduces heat losses 77% when compared to single glass, 50% when

compared to standard double glass, and makes saving from fuel expenses.

*Clean float glass within double glass structure can be used with sun control glasses, tempered or laminated glasses.

*Double glass units which are manufactured by using Low-E coated glasses in the facilities of Özgür Cam are put into

market with the brand Isıcam Sinerji®.

Aura Reflekta*It is obtained by applying a silver reflective coating by vapour coating (Laminar Vapor Coating -LVC) method on one

surface of the clean float glass in the float line.

*It creates mirror effect when looked from the strong part of the light due to its reflective feature. For example, it provides single

way view from inside to outside in day hours and from outside to inside at night. *Coated surface is used such that the surface is

inside (#2).

*It can be used as single glass. Soft detergents and soft cloths should be used for cleaning, and the use of abrasive and

corrosive substances should be avoided. Therefore, it is recommended to be used within the body of Isıcam.

*It can be used with clean float glasses or heat control coated (Low-E) glasses within the body of Isıcam insulation glass unit.

*It can become opaque by special polyester folios in parapet and façade coating applications. Folio manufacturer's

approval should be taken for the compatibility of folio opaque material with the coated surface.

*It can be made laminated. While making Aura Reflekta laminated, it is recommended to temper or partially temper all layers

of the laminated glass against thermal breakage risks. *It can be made enamel printed.

*There are thermal breakage risks in all sun control glasses, therefore it is recommended to use TRC Aura Reflekta sun control

glasses tempered or partially tempered.

It is obtained by coating several metal oxides on clean or blend-colour glasses in the manufacturing process in float

line. Mechanical and chemical resistance of the coating is high. There are silver, green and blue colours available. It

creates mirror effect when looked from the side where light is strong due to its reflective feature. For example, it

provides single way view from inside to outside in day hours and from inside to outside at night. In curtain wall

buildings, it provides view integrity by hiding building elements such as columns, beams, parapet walls, suspended ndfloors and installation gaps by means of its reflective feature. Coated surface can be used inside (2 surface) or

stoutside (1 surface). If coating is outside, reflection comes into prominence, if it is inside, colour comes into

prominence. When coating is used outside, contamination will be noticed more easily in reflective surfaces and

more frequent glass cleaning will be required based on air pollution and the amount of dust in the atmosphere.

Therefore, it is recommended to use coating inside. It can be used as single glass. Soft detergents and soft cloths

should be used for cleaning, and the use of abrasive and corrosive substances should be avoided on coated

surfaces. Therefore, it is recommended to be used within the body of Isıcam. It can be used with clean float glasses

or heat control coated (Low-E) glasses within the body of Isıcam insulation glass unit. Tempering, partial tempering

and curving can be made. Lamination can be made. While making Tentesol lamination, tempering or partial

tempering of all layers of the laminated glass will be required against thermal breakage risks. Enamel print can be

made. There are thermal breakage risks in all sun control glasses, therefore it is recommended to use Tentesol series

sun control glasses as tempered or partially tempered.

It is obtained by applying a thin, reflective and rough coating on blend-colour glasses in the manufacturing process in the float line.

• The coating has high mechanical and chemical resistance.

• There are green and blue colours available.

• It has high daylight transmission.nd• It may be applied such that coated surface is inside the building (2 surface) or

stoutside (1 surface) the building.

• When it is used such that coating is outside, contamination will be more easily

noticed on reflective surfaces and more frequent glass cleaning may be

required based on air pollution and the amount of dust in the atmosphere.

Therefore, it is recommended to be used such that coating is inside.

• It may be used with clean float glasses or heat control coated (Low-E) glasses

within the body of Isıcam® insulation glass unit.

• Tempering, partial tempering and curving may be performed.

• It may be made laminated. While Tentesol T® lamination is being performed,

tempering or partial tempering of all layers of the laminated glass will be

required against thermal breakage risks.

• Enamel print may be performed.

• There are thermal breakage risks in all sun control glasses and therefore

• It is recommended to use Tentesol T® series sun control glasses as tempered or

partially tempered.

Ecosol is obtained by applying a thin metal/metaloxide layer on the float glass through out of line coating technology (electron scattering method in vacuum environment).

It provides saving from fuel expenses in winter by reducing heat losses and from air-conditioning expenses in

summer by reducing the transmittance of the sun heat.

•It prevents windowfronts to be cold in winter and hot in summer.

•It provides the protection of natural colours of the wares for a longer time by reducing the entrance of UV lights into

indoors.

•It delays the condensations which occur in the glass surface.nd•Ecosol has to be used within the body of double glass and such that coated surface (2 surface) is inside.

•Tempering, partial tempering, lamination and enamel print processes should be performed before the coating

project.

•The double glass units which are manufactured by using Ecosol glass within Özgür Cam's own facilities are put on

the market with Isıcam Konfor brand.

HEAT AND SUN CONTROL COATING ON CLEAN FLOAT GLASS • It does not sacrifice from transparency and natural daylight while providing heat and sun control.

• Double glass units made with Ecosol;

- It makes saving from fuel expenses by reducing heat losses 77% when compared to single glass, 50% when

compared to standard double glass,

- It makes saving from cooling expenses by reducing solar heat 40% when compared to standard double glass.

LAMINATED SAFETY AND SECURITY GLASS (LAMEKS)

• It is manufactured by combining two or more glass plates under heat and pressure by means of special binding polyvinyl

butyral (PVB) layers.

• It minimizes the risks originating from glass breakage by keeping the parts in their places in case of breakage.

• It is used for preventing the injuries which may occur due to accident as well as for protecting life and property against

external impacts.

• It prevents/delays entries based on the thickness of PVB and glass, size of external effect in attack and theft attempts made

with tools such as stones and sticks.

• It contributes to sound insulation.

• It prevents the transmittance of ultraviolet (UV) lights which are reason for the fading of the goods and cloths at 97% rate.

• It provides safety and security as well as insulation by being used in Isıcam units.

• Areas of usage; are showcases, roofs and ceiling glasses, windbreaks, railings, internal partition boards, museums, bank

branches, hospitals (particularly psychiatry clinics), passages with intense traff,c, schools, nurseries, police centres and military

institutions, sports complexes with intense activity.

• The resistance of Lameks against impacts and attacks depends on the thickness of glass plates and PVB intermediate layer as

well as the number of layers. One should check TS EN 12600 to determine the resistance to impact and TS EN 356 CE Marking

Documents to determine the resistance to attack.

Product

Thicknesses and Dimensions:

PVB (mm)Thicknesses

Glass (mm)Thicknesses

• Standard Lameks is manufactured with transparent or opaque PVB

film layer.

• Lameks can be manufactured to answer special demands with

PVB film layers and glasses in different colours and thicknesses.

• Glass is a fragile material and standard float glass has low

resistance to impacts. By increasing the thickness of glass, the

resistance of glass against impacts increases but the risks of injury

originating from glass breakage cannot be removed.

• Safety and security features are gained through the secondary

processes applied to the glass, while the injury risks which may incur

as a result of breakage are reduced; it contributes to the protection

of life and property against external impacts and attacks.

• The concept of safety in the glass includes removing the risks which

may incur as a result of the person's crashing the glass with several

reasons and the breakage of the glass. The glasses which are used in

the living quarters should be tempered or laminated in order to

prevent the injuries which may result from glass breakages.

• And the concept of security in the glass includes the protection of

life and property against external attacks. Glasses which will be used

for such purposes should be laminated glass.

• Tempered and Lameks should be used in the following, particularly

to prevent the injuries which may result from glass breakage;

- Glazings up to 80 cm from the ground,

- Glazings which continue uninterrupted from the ground to the

ceiling,

-Glass doors with joinery and the glazings inside the side joineries of

Everywhere but particularly in places difficult to be reached...

Less cleaning, more saving!

Natural Glass Appearance!

Other Advantages of Extra Clean Glass

extra clean glassThis Glass Cleans Itself!

Extra Clean Glass is manufactured with a special coating.

The surface of the glass gains photo catalytic (disintegration of dirts with UV lights) and

hydrophilic (adherence of water) features thanks to this coating.

Thus, glass has the self-cleaning feature with sun lights (UV lights) and rain water. Dirts adhered

to the surface of the glass are disintegrated when they meet UV lights and their connection

with the surface of the glass stops, then it is self cleaned when it rains or water is sprayed on the

surface of the glass.

It is ideal for windows, winter gardens, balcony glasses, glass facades, glass moldings and

areas difficult to be reached and Buildings with intense dirt and dust and where cleaning is not

easy. Its technical, mechanical and acoustic features are the same with Normal uncoated

float glass.

Since much less dirt will adhere to the surface of the glass,

Extra Clean Glass stays clean for longer and is much more easily cleaned when compared to

classical glasses. And as it does not require frequent cleaning, it makes saving from the

expenses made for cleaning, particularly from " time and labour". Being an ideal solution for

areas difficult to be cleaned such as glass roof and high façade glasses, Extra Clean Glass is

highly environment friendly because it provides less water and detergent use.

Extra Clean Glass is the self-cleaning glass with the most natural appearance. Life of coating is

as the life of glass because it is processes on the surface of the glass. It can also be applied in

sun control glasses when desired.

* Its self-cleaning feature starts even though there is no direct sun light as soon

as it is attached on the window.

* Its water impulsion feature is active at nights too and it prevents the rain drops stay on a large

part of the glass.

* Thanks to its photo catalytic feature which disintegrates dirts, cleaning is much easier by

means of water.

* As it stays clean for a long time and cleans itself, it will be sufficient to spray water by hose or

use a soft cloth and glass wiper cleaning substances for persistent strains.

Running-inGlass is a very sharp metal. The edges of the glass should be absolutely passed to safe position from this dangerous position. Glasses are passed through the process called RUNNING-IN as an edge grinding process based on their thicknesses. Glass is used in many areas in our lives. There can be no other safer storage boxes than glass in terms of health. Glass tables, glass stands, cups, vases, glass shower cabins, glass shelves are products which have constant contact with our hands. All of these products should be made RUNNING-IN in order to avoid cutting our hands.

How is glass running-in made?

Glass running-in is made by corroding by means of circular diamond plated stones which are produced for every thickness and

high-speed motors. The glass will be immediately broken if there is no water during this process. It is not possible to corrode the

glass without water. Edge sharpness is removed by means of diamond along with water. 4-5-6-8-10-12-15-19mm glasses are

standard glass thicknesses and non-standard up to 19-60 mm glass thicknesses can be applied in running-in machines. Should

running-in applied in every glass manufactured? No. There is no such usage obligation. However, while it is used in the large

facades of glass, even if the parts inside the joinery are not visible, running-in can prevent cracks in the future. Further running-in

is not possible in very large and heavy glasses. For example: Running in cannot be made after 4000mm x3200mm for 6+6

laminated showcase glass. This is firstly because of the weight of the glass. And the second reason is its dimension. These glasses

cannot be loaded in running-in machines. However, sandpapering can be performed by hand if required. Or to give small

examples; the reason why a part with 100mm x 80mm dimension is because the machine pallets cannot hold the glass.

Running-ins can be in several forms. These processes can be made through c running in which is called herringbone, i running-in

which is called flat running-in or several grinding ways; and the benefits of running-in are too numerous to be counted. Glasses

are also passed through tempering process in order to avoid their explosion in the furnace before being tempered.

Automobile glasses are also subjected to running-in process while being manufactured. If they were assembled on the

automobile before running-in, the automobile's glasses would crack after a few km's. Running-in machines are quite expensive

and investment requiring systems. Cnc running-in machines are known to be the most expensive ones and glass processing

costs are also high in parallel to this. They offer products through the best quality and least error. Glasses without running-in are

almost scarcely any. Unless being obliged to (for the manufacturer), the glasses without running-in should not be delivered to

the customer. And the buyer should take this into consideration well and especially request running-in.

Tempered Glass

Tempering process includes heating and cooling phases to gain

compression stress to the external surfaces of the glass on the

horizontal line, and a tensile stress in the middle of the glass.

Tempered glass is 10 times more durable than unprocessed

glass; and it is more suitable for use as a safety glass because it

reduces injury risks by dividing into dice-sized pieces when it is

broken. No cutting, perforation, edge and surface process can

be made on glasses after tempering process. Besides full

tempered glasses, partially tempered glasses are also durable

against external forces and thermal stresses. The resistance of

partially tempered glasses is half the tempered glasses. Partial

tempering is performed in the same furnaces and in the same

temperature degrees. The only difference in this process is that

cooling is made relatively slower. Glasses which are cooled

more slowly have less surface front stress, thus lower

spontaneous breakage risk. Full tempered glasses are preferred

particularly in curtain walls because partially tempered glasses

divide into pieces at the time of breakage, because glasses can

stay in the joinery gap and because spontaneous breakage risks

are low.

The thicknesses and dimensions of the glasses which are

planned to be used in curtain walls should be selected carefully.

On the other hand, their wind loads are both variable and

dynamic. Therefore, persons who are responsible for the

determination of glass thickness or dimension should also take

these factors into consideration. Özgür Yapı A.Ş. offers you,

valuable customers, FASON TEMPERONG service whose

dimensions vary between max. 2150 x 3660 and min. 100 x 220

mm with its new generation tempering furnace which can make

cylindrical curved tempering which is flat and does not require

mould. As Özgür Yapı A.Ş., we believe that tempering

particularly home furniture and showcase glasses and door

glasses have vital importance.

Tempered Glass Features

Glass divides into small mass dice-sized pieces in case of breakage. Glass boards which are cut in compliance with their size

and passed through edge process are heated up to a degree near the softening point and quickly cooled and glass surfaces

gain 10.000 psi compression front stress. Tempered glasses, which gain surface front stress at certain levels through special

thermal processes, are 4-5 times more resistant against compression, impact and thermal breakage risks when compared to

normal glasses. (Thermal breakage is a risk which occurs in sun control boards whose some parts receive sun heat while other

parts remain in the shade.) Tempering process increases the strength and resistance of the glass against thermal stresses at the

same time.

Thermal processes do not change the volume, chemical structure, colour and clarity of the products. Clean float,

blend-coloured float, Aura series, laminated glasses (before lamination) and coated glasses can be thermal processed. No

cutting, perforation, edge and surface process can be made on the glass boards after thermal process.

Distortions which occur thereby remaining within “tempering signs” and “flatness” which can be only noticed in

some perspectives and light conditions and “directedness” tolerances are the unavoidable and unpreventable results of

thermal process. The signs which are minimized through a sensitive heat regime during tempering process are not qualified

as defects in themselves.

Main Areas of usage; Façade glasses, glass balcony units, glass railings and glass doors, shower cabins and partitions, glass

furniture, city furniture, fridges and furnace glasses, sun collector glasses

How do you Temper a Glass?

- Tempered glass is 4 times more steady than ordinary glasses.

And glasses which are tempered different from ordinary glasses

are divided into small pieces which relatively do not harm

human beings. Thus, these glasses are used when life safety of

human beings is in question. The areas of usage are mainly front

and side glasses of vehicles, glasses of entrance doors, shower

and bathroom panels, microwave and electrical ovens.

- To prepare for tempering process, the glass should be first cut

in the required length. Then the glass will be checked for

defective production to avoid breakage and explosion during

tempering process and then referred to washing process.

- After this phase, the glass will be passed through the thermal

process in the tempering furnace. The glass of the furnace will

be heated nearly up to 600 degrees (celsius). Then, high

pressure cooling process will be applied in the phase called

extinguishment.

- In this phase which lasts a few seconds, high-pressure air is

sprayed on the glass surface from several angles. The external

surface of the glass cools faster when compared to internal

parts in the extinguishment process.

- When the middle part starts to cool, it shows a tendency of

separation, rupture from the external surface. As a result, there is

an internal stress in the internal part and the external part has

compression.

- And the durability of the tempered glass is provided by this

compression process. The glass which is under stress is 5 times

more easily broken when compared to compressed glass.

- Tempering process is also made through chemical ways.

Chemical substances change the ions on the surface of the

glass and provide compression. However, this method is not

commonly used because it is too expensive.

Sandblasting Process

In our company, sandblasting and shaping processes are made on

glasses. Glasses at every size can be sandblasted. We are one of the rate

organizations which produce signboards and logos through sandblasting

technique. Non-sun and non-water resistant folio adherence technique is mostly

applied in this application but our company has featured customer satisfaction by

prioritizing quality in this field. Besides the organizations which operate in the field of

advertisement, we receive orders from personal ones, too.

What is Sandblasting?

Sandblasting is the cleaning or roughening process of the particles which are sand

or grit as the raw material of roughening by high air pressure by crashing these

particles to the surface. It varies based on the materials and pressure to be applied.

Sand and grit type materials which are used in sandblasting process should be

quartz and they should not contain iron, salt and clay in them. Moreover, the

abrasive materials which are used in sandblasting cannot be used again in

another process. This is because all dirt on the sandblasted material will mix into the

abrasive during sandblasting and disrupt all characteristics of it. The sandblasting

process which will be made through these kinds of materials will result in harm

rather than benefit.

The most important fact which should be remembered in sandblasting process is

that it does not allow non-quality labour and material use in order to reduce the

costs. This is because low cost applications will later cause greater harms for our

customers.
