Parchment (Docufide) Transcript Account Setup St. Francis High School students can request transcripts electronically through a secure service known as Parchment (Docufide). To use the service, a student must setup an account and give permission to have their transcripts sent electronically to the requested locations. You will need the following information to set up your account: Your student number (from Powerschool) A valid email account The last four digits of your social security number

IF YOU ARE NOT YET 18, permission from a parent to release your transcript information.

Directions To Set Up Your Parchment Account Log in to the following website using your favorite browser: www.parchment.com You will see the following window…..

Notice there are “Sign Up” and “Sign In” buttons located in the upper right portion of the window. The “Sign Up” button will be used to create an account. The “Sign In” button will be used to log into your account after it is created. Click on the “Sign Up” button in the upper right portion of the screen.

After clicking on the “Sign Up” button, you will see the following screen…...

Fill in the requested information to begin the account creation. Type in your email account address and confirm it. Type in a password that you will use to log in to your account after it is created. (This does NOT need to be your email password. This password should be written down and kept in a safe place for future reference as needed. You will create your login name later.)

Under “Security Questions,” create your two security questions (and answers). These will be used to identify you if there are questions about your account. (Please select something you will remember. It may be a good idea to record the answers to your questions for future reference.) Near the bottom of the page the following information will be displayed…..

Select the correct radio button (most likely the top one) depending on who is setting up the account. Then click “Save & Continue.” When the following screen appears, fill in the required information…..

Select or type the correct information for Title, Name (First, Middle, Last, Generation [if needed]), Gender, Date of Birth, Current Grade Level, and Year Entering College. Create a user name. This name will be used to log in to your Parchment account. Please notice the message stating that the name will be visible on the Parchment website, and SHOULD NOT BE YOUR REAL NAME.

Near the bottom of the screen, you will see a section entitled “My Opt-In Preferences.”

Please read the information carefully and select your opt-in preferences. College Discovery – Select “Yes” if you desire colleges to email you information about their programs. Select “No” if you do NOT want colleges to email you information about their offered programs. Please note that this does NOT allow colleges to access your transcript unless you choose to allow them to do so. Parchment Newsletter – Select “Yes” if you desire to receive the Parchment email newsletter. Select “No” if you do not wish to receive the newletter. Make sure the two checkboxes near the bottom are selected and then click “Save & Continue.”

You should then see the following window…..

You will receive an email with a link to activate your Parchment account. Clicking on the link will allow you to continue. Click on the “Continue” button to enter your Parchment account.

You should now see the following window…..

It is here you will make changes and transcript requests in your Parchment account. Clicking on the various links in the page above will give you options for controlling your Parchement account. Click on “Need a Transcript” if you would like to have your transcript sent to Parchment for distribution to colleges at your request.

To request a transcript, complete the following page…..

Select the correct radio button for the transcript you are requesting. (The “High School” button should be selected for St. Francis High School transcripts.) Under “Search for your school,” enter the following information (as shown below). Please note that the spelling of the school and city name need to be as listed below. School Name: St. Francis High School City: St. Francis State: Kansas Leave “United States” in the far right box. Click “Search.” Your window should now look like the one pictured below…..

Make sure the radio button to the left of “St. Francis Junior/Senior High School” is selected and then click “Save & Continue.”

A new window like the one below should appear…..

Complete the information on the page. Select the correct radio button for “Currently Enrolled” or “Not Currently Enrolled.” Use the drop-down menu to select the year you enrolled in high school (“Date Started”). (For 2012 seniors the year would be 2008.) Under “Class of:” use the drop-down menu to select your year of graduation. Enter your student ID. This will be your student number from PowerSchool. Enter the last four digits of your social security number. Read the information under “FERPA Privacy Rights.” Make a selection as to whether you wish (or do NOT wish) to waive your right to access the Secondary School Report and letters of recommendation. After you have made your selection, click “Save & Continue”

You will need to complete the information on this page to give St. Francis Community Schools permission to send your transcript to Parchment and give Parchment (Docufide) legal access to your transcript information and to allow them to send your transcripts to the schools you select. IF you are 18 years of age, you will be able to complete the registration. IF YOU ARE NOT YET 18, you will need to have your parent/guardian sign the registration request. Please make sure you check the box near the bottom giving Parchment authorization to manage your information. After you have set up your account, you will need to login in to your account at http://www.parchment.com to make transcript requests.
