What a surprise--more of a shock I went to have my eyes checked because of what I thought was a little problem it turned out to be a major problem a detached retina I had to leave the doctors office in Odessa and go immediately to Lubbock to a specialist He evaluated the situation and decided surgery was necessary as soon as possible So it happened All went well with the repairs but recovery is a long process I was instructed not to lift my head up and to keep my face looking down even while I slept Im not sure if you have even had to do that but my feet the carpet nor the bedspread are not that attractive to keep me entertained I have been following doctors orders along with the bishops directives I have other follow-up appointments with the specialist in Lubbock and so far he is pleased with the healing process of the eye I thank you all for the encouraging words and especially the prayers offered for me and my health Be assured of my prayers as well for your conditions and your peace within
