Mission Statement
As a faith-filled Christian Community we are committed
to building up the Body of Christ and strengthening the
Kingdom of God. Through diverse ministries, we share
our many gifts to respond to the needs within and
outside our Parish Community. Confident in our
strengths and aware of our weaknesses, we enter into
collaboration with other communities to deepen our
relationship with Jesus and one another. By fulfilling our
pastoral, sacramental, and educational needs, we, as a
Eucharistic Church, work to proclaim the message and
presence of the risen Lord.
Sacrament of Baptism
Parents wishing to have their children baptized must
attend an instruction which is offered once a month.
Please call the Parish Office to make arrangements.

a program of marriage preparation. Please call the

Dear Friends,
Thanks to everyone who helped to
take down the Christmas decorations last
Sunday evening! As you know, I have been
under the weather for a while. It gives me
great peace to know how well people can
come together and take care of their
“home.” Time, talent, and treasure, it what
it’s all about! Thanks again.
The new year always has some of the
“same ol’ stuff and some new and exciting
opportunities. This year, the season of Lent
begins on March 6th with Easter being on
April 21st. It is nearly the latest date
possible! You may already know this,
however, according to the Catholic Source
Book, “the Council of Nicea in 325 date of
Easter is determined by the first full moon
after March 20th (which is the vernal
equinox, when the sun is directly above the
earth’s equator). This date allowed pilgrims
to have moonlight for traveling to the great
Easter festival of the day. According to this
method of reckoning, Easter could be as
early as March 22nd and as late as
April 25th.” This means the season of
Ordinary Time will be seven weeks
long. What do we do between Christmas
and Lent? As we settle in to the rhythms of
winter, perhaps we can see this as a time of
being in the comfort of God’s embrace.
Perhaps we can reflect on the past
season and plumb the depths of Advent and
Christmas. May we discover the joy of our
Savior’s birth from the season that passed by
altogether too quickly!
Peace,
Fr. Michael
Please remember in your prayers:
Parishioner Claire Dolan
and Janice Whitney Fortin,
sister of parishioner Allan Whitney
May they rest in peace,
and may their families find comfort from
their faith in Jesus Christ.
In observance of
Martin Luther King Day
on Monday, January 21st,
the Parish Office will be closed.
