UP MEETING FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN who will be receiving Reconciliation next fall

If you will be away for the Feb. 19th meeting, please call the Religious Ed Office, and we will make arrangements to meet with you and your child at that later date in March.
There will be no Religious Ed Classes from Sun., Feb. 19th through Sat., Feb. 25th due to school vacation. Classes will resume on Sun., Feb. 26th for Beginnings and High School II.

Father Carlos’ Pills of Faith
7th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus says, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father.” In today’s world,
there are many situations, actions, and people that cause us to feel uncomfortable, unloved, unaccepted, or even angry. However, Jesus reminds us that we are children of God, we are not capable of hate, we are empowered to love, pray for others, and forgive. Saint Paul asks, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” If God abides within us, then we are full of God’s compassion and holiness. Then, let us pray for all those who do harm, let us answer violence, unacceptance, hatred, and evil with good actions of love, help, kindness, and prayer. Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me show love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is sadness, joy.
Your generosity has helped many people!
During the week of February 12th, 16 bags of
food were distributed.
