Children should not bring anything valuable to school eg electronic games jewellery expensive toys and games etc Similarly they should not bring large amounts of money

If you wish to see the teacher concerning your child the most convenient times are before school and after 300pm This eliminates interruptions during lessons Because teachers are busy with preparation and school committee meetings it is advisable to make an appointment time by letter or personal contact

As it is not practical to call teachers to the phone during teaching time all calls regarding your child should be made through the school office The Admin Officer however will take messages regarding absences illness etc It is school policy not to transfer calls to teachers during lesson times

If someone else is collecting your child please ensure that they are registered as an emergency contact If the person collecting your child is not recorded as an emergency contact please inform the office preferably in writing

Medicine at school needs to be administered according to Education Queensland regulations No medication will be administered unless written instructions are completed by a parent Students must not retain medication in their pocket school bag or desk Analgesics (ie pain killers) cannot be administered by school Appropriate forms are available from the school office or the school website All medication must have a label on the container with the name of the Student dosage details and this must be written on the medication form Our First Aid Staff cannot administer medication without this The medication form is available on the school website

Parent helpers are very welcome in Prep Your childrsquos teacher will give you the information on how you can help in the classroom All parent-helpers and volunteers are required to sign in and out at the school office

Please keep your parent and emergency contacts up to date at the office
