More News about our Family of Parishes: Last Sunday afternoon, the newly formed team for our Family of Parishes which includes Fr. Ray Lawhead, Deacon Art Bondy, Rebecca Bondy & Lisa Mullins who are Pastoral Ministers and I, gathered

for an initial meeting. Thankfully, the Pastoral teams have met in the past few years to discuss our protocols for Sacraments, as well as some of the service components offered in each of our communities. We have also gathered the Parish Pastoral Councils for initial introductions and a meal, and a second meeting to share our blessings, gifts, struggles and concerns.

As we move forward, there will be many issues to discuss, discern and decide upon. A Transition Team, made up of representatives from each of the parishes, will begin to meet regularly with the Pastoral Team to address some of the changes that will take place in July. As the conversations take place and consensus is reached, communication of the changes will be published in our weekend bulletins!

All parishioners are asked to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit that the decisions rendered will keep Christ at the center of our lives.

A word of caution about our Family of Parishes – Share only those decisions which have been published in the bulletin. So far, nothing has been decided.

The Sacrament of Confirmation for the English language candidates will be celebrated next Saturday at the 5pm Mass. There will be a number of visitors to our parish and our hospitality will be a great gift for them! Following the Mass, the entire community is invited to the hall for an

informal reception organized by the Coffee Sunday Committee – a great opportunity to congratulate our young people who have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit – and a wonderful time to connect with each other!

Parishioners who have prayed for our candidates and would like to write a congratulatory note are asked to drop it off at the office this week.

French Confirmation will be at the 9am Mass!

Coffee Sunday Committee: Everyone is invited to the hall following the 11am Mass next Sunday for a social gathering. Please plan on attending!

Pray for the sick, especially Roland Beneteau, Bette Dunn, Ed Primeau, Colleen Dupuis, Jack Swinton, Stéphane Guerette,

Florence Senay, Frank Angileri and Maxine Shelley.

Pray for the deceased, that the Lord will welcome them in Paradise and comfort their families.

2018 Tax Receipts are ready for pick up at the entrance of the church. Please save us postage and pick yours up as soon as possible.

Votre reçu d’impôt est disponible à l’entrée principale de l’église. Veuillez le prendre aussitôt que possible.

UPCOMING MEETINGS

Retrouvaille Program – Windsor/Essex: You Can Help Your Marriage – Do you feel alone? Are you frustrated or angry at each other? Do you argue… or have you just stopped

talking to each other? Does talking about it only make it worse? Retrouvaille (pronounced retro-vi with a long i) helps couples through difficult times in their marriages. This program has helped tens of thousands of couples experiencing difficulties in their marriage. For confidential info or to register for the program beginning with a weekend on February 15-17, phone 1-800-705-6356, email [email protected] or www.SaveOurMarriage.ca.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is grateful for your continued support which allows them to help those in need. Non-perishable food items can be brought

to any Mass and placed in the boxes located at the church entrances. Good choices are: cereal, peanut butter, pasta, canned goods (vegetables, fruits, meat, tuna, soup, etc.) as well as hygiene products. If you need help, please call the SSVP at 519-734-0042.

Vocation Corner: This weekend we celebrate World Marriage Day! Let’s take time to pray for our spouses and each other to lift our marriages. Do something special for each other this weekend to show your gratitude for your spouse and their YES! Your goal in this Vocation of Marriage should be to get your spouse to heaven. Take time to ponder in your heart how you can do that, starting right now. God bless you!

Come & See Weekend in London at St. Peter’s Seminary, March 1st - 3rd. Come and pray, learn, reflect, rejoice and discern if God is calling you to the priesthood. What is a Come and See Weekend? It is a weekend for men who are considering the call to priesthood and gives them a chance to see what is involved, experience the life of a seminarian, offer spiritual help for discernment and meet current seminarians. Contact Fr. Patrick Beneteau at [email protected] or 519-432-1824, Ext 204. Please pray for our young men who are considering this call and support them.
