The Prayer of Alignment


Aligned For Blessing1. God blesses people who make His

kingdom their highest concern.

“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well!”

~Matthew 6:33

“...He will give them to you if you give him first place in you life.”

~Living Bible


The Principle of Blessing

Wherever I want God’s blessing, there I must put God first.


Where God Wants To Be First

Finances (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Interests (I Corinthians 10:31)

Relationships (II Corinthians 6:14)

Schedule (Psalm 90:12)

Troubles (II Corinthians 12:9-10)


2. God blesses people who are utterly dependent on His power.

“You bless all who depend on you for their strength.”

~Psalm 84:5a (CEV)

“You’re blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is

more of God and his rule.” ~Matthew 5:3 (The Message)

Aligned For Blessing



The more you depend on God, the more God will release his power to you.


Growing in Faith

“I will bless those who trust me.” ~Jeremiah 17:7

By taking risks to grow and obey God.

By not giving up when discouraged.

“God will bless you, if you don't give up when your faith is being tested. He will reward

you with a glorious life.” ~ James 1:12 (CEV)


3. God blesses people who are addicted to his glory.

“God will bless everyone who honors him.” ~Psalm 115:13 (TEV)

Aligned For Blessing

“What is the chief end of man? To glorify God and enjoy him forever.”

~Westminster Shorter Catechism, Question 1



God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him, and we are

most satisfied in him when we are bringing him glory.


How To Live For God’s Glory

By using my God-given SHAPE to serve others.

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to

serve one another… Then everything you do will bring glory to God.”

~I Peter 4:10-11 (NLT)


“Warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you;

then God will be glorified.” ~Romans 15:7


Soli Deo Gloria

Glory to God alone!


Final Thoughts

.The highest goal of prayer is not to get what I want, but to get what God wants.

The best outcome to prayer is not leveraging answers, but walking with God.

The greatest answer to prayer is prayer itself.
