“If things created are so full of loveliness, how resplendent must be the One who made them! The wisdom of the Worker is apparent in such handiwork.” ...St. Anthony of Padua † in the charity of your prayers †

Please remember the souls of those who have died, especially for the repose of the soul of Victoria Miller of St. Mary Church. May God welcome her and all who have gone before us into the joy of everlasting life, and bring comfort and peace to her family.

Lord, give us the rest only you can give when we feel burdened by life’s labors and sorrows. Open our hearts so that we learn from you to seek and accept the yoke that is easy. Give us the strength to help others with the burdens that weigh them down.

St. Mary of Czestochowa Museum of Memorabilia

As part of the 125th anniversary celebration, the Museum of Memorabilia is now open after the 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM Masses each Sunday through No-

vember 4 in the rectory. The items on display chronicle the his-tory of the parish through the present day. Come and enjoy a walk down memory lane and reminisce with other parishioners and guests. A committee member will be on-hand to answer any questions.

Cemetery Assistance

St. Mary Cemetery in Lower Burrell is in need of volunteers to assist with grass cutting and weed eating through the sum-mer months. Please bring your own mowers and weeding equipment.

Men: Are You Ready to Accept the Challenge?

Our communities need strong Catholic men to answer the call to lead with faith, protect our families, serve others and defend our values. For over 100 years, here in our area and worldwide, the Knights of Columbus have done exactly that, standing up for the Church, serving the least among us, and strengthening our parishes and families. Eligible men can now join the Knights of Columbus online in a simple, streamlined process. As a member, you join a world-wide community of nearly 2 million men, including tens of thou-sands in Pennsylvania, and over 170 here in our 3 communities, who stand together. Men have a duty to lead, protect, serve and defend. The world needs more committed, unified Catholic men to answer the call. Will you answer? Visit kofc.org/joinus to learn more about the many benefits of membership in the Knights of Columbus.

Congratulations!

The Knights of Columbus, Fr. Francis J. Hertzog Council 1381 wishes to congratulate three St. Joseph parishioners who have been elected to higher positions in the Order.

Atty. Dennis E. Shean Incoming Grand Knight of Council 1381

Timothy Shields President of the Greensburg Diocesan Chapter

Lawrence Barkowski State Advocate, Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania

Prayerful wishes to all for success in their new responsibilities.

Look at your life and try to add up how you spend your week. How much time is devoted to God, family, work and service? Do you rest and relax or just change activities? What are your timewasters?
