Why Themes ? The thematic approach helps to link

the topics taught in the different subjects by the

teacher to our day-to-day life and environment. Stu-

dents become more aware about interlikages and

students in the class rooms, in eco-clubs and the

whole school in action oriented activities under five

Paryavaran Mitra a programme that aims at creating Paryavaran Mitras (Friends of Environment) who have a commitment for environmental well being and take

action for it. It focuses on sustainability and climate change education covering

200,000 schools across India. This programme is an initiative of CEE in partnership
