The Code of Student Conduct ~ Policy 5.8

• Provides specific information regarding the rules that all

students are expected to adhere to, as well as consequences for

violations.

• Important among these rules are consistent and timely

attendance, respect for people and property, appropriate dress,

technology usage, student publications, student activities,

student records and the right to appeal, including grievance

procedures.

AntiBullying Policy 5.9

• The policy defines “Bullying” as systematically and chronically

inflicting physical hurt or psychological distress on one or more

students or employees.

• To be determined to be bullying, the behavior must be all three:

R – Repeated (more than once)

I – Imbalance of Power (involve or be characterized by)

P – Purposeful (intent to do harm)

WBH is a NO-BULLY ZONE!!

Page 24: PASL to the Tassel Fall Presentation - browardschools.com

Cyberbullying Defined

• Cyberbullying is willful and repeated harm inflicted through

the medium of electronic text. Research has shown

cyberbullying is no less severe than traditional playground

bullying and in many instances it is more psychologically

harmful because there is no escape.

• Cyber-bullies are able to invade every facet of their victim’s

existence, 24/7.
