What to expect on test dayPTE Academic is taken at a secure test center, where candidates will need to check-in with the test administrator, show ID and sit their test in a secure computer room.

The test administrator monitors candidates throughout the test.

The candidate will be assigned a locker to check-in their belongings before sitting the test in the secure room.

On check-in the test administrator will provide the candidate with a copy of the test center rules to read, request copies of ID, ask for a digital photograph and signature, and scan the test taker’s palm.

Please note that the only way to provide your score to your chosen institution is to send your Score Report electronically through your Pearson account. Institutions will not accept paper or PDF copies of your Score Report. You can send your Score Report to as many institutions as you like, free of charge.

You will receive an email notifying you once your scores are available; after you receive this, follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your Pearson VUE account at pearsonvue.com/pte

2. Click ‘Send Scores’

3. Type the name of your chosen institution in the field marked ‘Institution / Organization / Department / School’ and click ‘Search’
