Beyer’s Renaissance/PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) Program recognizes student achievement for

As well, students may be recognized at any time for their positive behavior/good character. Students earning Renaissance status in any quarter are eligible for prizes and recognition that could include the following:• Renaissance/PBIS t-shirt• Classroom incentives (each teacher recognizes Reissuance

students differently)• Participating in quarter rallies and activities specifically for

Renaissance studentEvery Student Can Be A Renaissance/PBIS Student

Red Level Quarter GPA of 4.0 or better(no unsatisfactory citizenship marks)

White Level Quarter GPAQ of 3.5 or better or all A’s and B’s(no unsatisfactory citizenship marks)

Blue Level Quarter GPA increase of .5 or better(no unsatisfactory citizenship marks)

Gold Level Perfect attendance in the quarter(no unsatisfactory citizenship marks)

PBIS Recognition Available on a regular basis based on a student exemplifying the PBIS student behavior goals

Beyer’s Positive Behavior Intervention Supports or PBIS

• PBIS works to positively reinforce school wide expectations and reward students for their efforts.

• Purpose: Decrease discipline issues, increase learning. Beyer’s Positive Behavior Intervention Supports are part of the Renaissance Program and is a way in which students receive recognition for positive behavior on campus. Below are Beyer’s agreed upon behavior expectations. These were created in a series of meetings last summer with students, parents, and staff members. Below are the classroom expectations: Students can receive immediate recognition by a teacher or other school staff for exhibiting the qualities outlined above. Students are provided the card below to recognize their outstanding behavior: Students take the card to the Supervision Office where they can receive an immediate reward and their card is placed in a drawing for a later recognition. BE A RENAISSANCE STUDENT THIS YEAR!

Incoming freshmen can qualify for 4th quarter Renaissance for the 2016-17 school year based on your grades last quarter in Junior High. Simply bring your report cards to the Student Body Office by August 25.

9th and 10th Grade Parents! Plan on Participating in Beyer’s Parent Empowerment Program Starting September 12th Beyer HS will be partnering with the Center for Educational Partnerships at UC Merced to provide the Parent Empowerment Program to our parents. This is a 10-week program is designed to provide parents with information to assist their students in high school, but also to provide information and knowledge to help their student reach their goal of attending college—and that starts in the 9th and 10th grade. Part of the program is to provide parents with a trip to a local college providing them with first-hand knowledge of what is available to their student. Seating is limited to the first forty parents who register. Registration information will be provided early in the school year.
