Description of contentsPay slips are usually produced within a spreadsheet, this simplifies the task of calculating totals, as it will do most of the calculations. Using a spreadsheet will also minimize the possibility of errors, which are not wanted when dealing with a situation such as money. A pay slip will contain content such as:

•Employee name and address- identifies who the pay slip is for•Company Name- supplies information on which company the money is coming from•Pay Slip number- this is automatically generated by the computer•Employee Number- used to locate details on all individual employees upon a database•Earning to date, this would most likely be calculated by a formula, it will take there total wages from previous months and total them.•Deductions, also calculated using a formula, certain percentages of the total wage will be removed.

-taxable, percentage of wage will go to government to pay for services such as NHS.-non taxable- no payment is given to the government as it is considered unfair such as national insurance, which already pays for Government services.

How Is it communicated

Most of the time it is common to receive your pay slip by hand on the day of receiving the wage, this is mainly due to many not wanting personal information being sent through the post. However, it is also well established that it can be received via post as well.
