Riparian Zone Revegetation Riparian Zone Revegetation ProgramProgram

A riparian zone or riparian area is the interface between land and a river or stream

It is the Planting, nurturing and growing of suitable and appropriate species of trees, shrubs and grasses along the riverbanks or riparian areas of the river systems.

Page 12: Pbidc1

Ambalgan, Sto. Nino

WHY RE-VEGETATION?

Re-Vegetation is an alternative, least-costly non-structural measure to prevent or reduce destructive effects of the braiding river system, if vegetation is properly placed or grown in the riparian zones.
