Color Managed Workflow

GRACOL 7 Certified: G7-General Requirements for Applications in Commercial Offset Lithography

•Prepress: Weekly Calibrated Monitors using colorimeters to ensure all digital files are viewed properly. Monthly checks to all production computer applications, reviewing profiles for correct color output within our press conditions.

•Proofing: Device-independent color profiles created to match to our GRACOL print guidelines, along with a set of highly developed linearization tools; extremely accurate and repeatable system to produce contract proofs.

Color Managed Pressroom

•Inks: G7 guidelines refer to the need to utilize inks that meet the ISO 2864-1 for shade and transparency, as well as meeting specific tolerances for density. (The ISO 2846-1 references illuminant D50, 2 ° observer for a colorimeter using 0°/45 ° geometry, and G7 Process Colors Density Vs DE*)

•At the Presses: Use of Auto Tracking Spectro-Densitometers and Densitometers for color accuracy.

•Color viewing booths: compliant with ISO 3664; controlled viewing environment for evaluating color quality and uniformity.
