October 1, 2015

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In 2002 we started getting involved in the White Pine Village “Adopt a Building Program.” It began with Lutheran Brotherhood, and continued even after they merged with Thrivent.

Back in 2012 Emanuel Lutheran Church made a commitment to the White Pine Village “Adopt a Building Program.” Council approved to donate $50 a year and approved for us to seek 9 others that would like to make a donation of $50. With a total of $500 each year this allows us to become a part of this wonderful program.

Did you know that Emanuel had donated the old Baptismal Font to the Chapel? We thought this would be a wonderful way for Emanuel to help in the preservation of our history. The adopting of the Chapel seems so fitting. The White Pine Village “Adopt a Building Program” started in 1993, and has been a wonderful source of revenue and support for keeping the buildings in excellent repair.

We enjoy representing Emanuel with this outreach program and we thank everyone for their support.

Forever indebted to God’s grace and mercy, Jim and Sandy Bloom

A rather new tradition here at Emanuel is to read the names of our departed family and friends during communion at our Service on All Saints Sunday, November 1st.

We request that you provide names no later than 3:00PM on Wednesday, October 28th. Any member of our parish family who passed away since All Saints Day, 2014 will automatically be placed on the list.

Additional names may be submitted by emailing to the Parish Office, [email protected], calling the office (843-3686), or in writing by dropping this form into the offering basket today.

Please provide this information: the name of each person and guidance on pronunciation for those with unusual names.

Please Print: Your Name: _________________________________________ Names of those you wish to have read aloud: 1. _______________________________________ 2. _______________________________________ 3. _______________________________________ Pronunciation Notes if needed: _________________________________________ _________________________________________ *You may clip and return this form with your request, or pick up a separate form from the half-shelf in the Narthex. Completed forms may be left in the Parish Office or placed in the offering basket. Thank you.

Sign by the door of the Chapel. “Adopted by Emanuel Lutheran Church.”

THANK YOU on behalf of West Shore Pregnancy Care Center for your very generous giving to Baby Bottle Boomerang! You gave over and above my expectations. Your generosity will really help these women and young families in crisis. Again, thank you, Carolyn Fitch WSPCC Volunteer Client Advisor & Church Representative for Emanuel Lutheran Church
