Founded in 1999, Melbourne Filmoteca aims to showcase a diverse program of cinematic delights from Spain, Portugal, the Caribbean and Latin America.

The team is made up by a small group of cinephiles from the region who are eager to share the rich stories from this vibrant part of the world.

Through our program we aim to connect native speakers with Spanish language and film enthusiasts as well as local businesses and cultural partners to create a community of passionate and committed cinephiles who work together to celebrate Hispanic language and culture.

Screening once a month* at ACMI Cinemas in Federation Square, Melbourne. All films feature English subtitles.
