Rules and RegulationsTo make your stay more enjoyable at Ocean Grove RV Resort,
kindly observe the following Rules and Regulations.
Ocean Grove had its beginning in the late 60's as a small campground called “Canadian Sunset.”
Throughout the 70's, under various ownerships, it gradually emerged into a full fledged “camp resort”, catering to vacationers and tourists in the summer and snowbirds in the winter.
It was just about this time that two sisters and their husbands from New York were on the brink of “following their dream” to relocate to Florida and open a family business together. Having young families of their own, and needing flexibility, the idea of running a campground, living on the premises and having their children close by appealed to them.
In December 1979 their dream became a reality when Judy and Tom Tibbitts and Ed and Lillian Schneider and their families arrived in St. Augustine and moved into Ocean Grove. As they say “The rest is history.”
Over the years as the camping industry grew, campgrounds became “camp resorts” and tiny little “tag a long” trailers and pop ups turned into 40' “houses on wheels” catering to a variety of people from all walks of life, wanting to see the country and expand their horizons. A new vocabulary emerged when expressions such as RV, fifth wheel, slide outs and even Snowbirds became commonplace language. Modern camp resorts with thousands of “full hookup” sites began popping up in every city in every state in the country and Ocean Grove was right there along with them.
Thirty-five years later Ocean Grove is going “stronger than ever,” still catering to families, camping groups, and their ever-faithful snowbirds. In keeping with the times, it has added many “modern” improvements, such as cable, wi-fi, computers and web pages, activity directors, fitness center, boat ramp and fishing dock. Management has been passed down to the next generation, but they still strive to maintain the same friendly, down home atmosphere which has made them famous.

“NO EXCEPTIONS”
C O D E O F C O N D U C T
CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Be Courteous. Please arrive early and consider vehicle noise while your neighbors are sleeping. This also holds true for early risers.
2. Please be a responsible pet owner. Pick up after your pets and do not leave them unattended at any time.
3. RV Parks are not day care centers. Your children are YOUR responsibility. Always make sure your children are supervised.
4. Keep clutter to a minimum. Nobody wants to park next to a site that has numerous items outside that detract from the natural beauty of our campground.
5. Respect quiet hours. Not everyone camping wishes to stay outside and play until 2:00 in the morning. Keep outdoor TV’s and radios at a courteous noise level.
6. Watch your speed. Remember there are children and pets sharing the roads with you.
7. Always use a rubber donut on your sewer connection. Not only is this a law, but imagine smelling your neighbor’s sewage while you are getting ready to bite into that nice juicy hamburger you just grilled.
8. Please make sure that your grill smoke is not going directly into your neighbor’s window. A little pre-planning will make all the difference in the world.
9. Please use washers in your fresh water hose. A leaking connection will create a mess for you and an unnecessary expense for your host.
10. Please make sure your trash is contained either in bags or boxes and not placed out “the night before”. The natural environment of campgrounds attracts critters that just love to go through your trash. Place “ALL” trash in dumpsters.
11. Your campground operators work hard at making your stay an enjoyable one; please leave your site as clean as when you check in.
Most importantly, enjoy the camping lifestyle and let us teach future generations of campers that the environment is something that we must always maintain for the enjoyment of their children, their children’s children etc.
Courteous CampersAlthough all campgrounds have their own set of rules, the following is a partial list of (unwritten rules) that applies to the RV Public.
THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE OUTSIDE OF/OR UNDER YOUR RV: 1. Unfastened ladders (ladders must be attached to camper and
off the ground)
2. Storage boxes, coolers, clotheslines, or excessive potted plants (limit 2)
3. Appliances, spare parts of any kind, tires, cleaning supplies, excess outdoor furniture (limited to lawn chairs and one table), extra propane tanks, unless attached to your grill, tool boxes and lawn ornaments.
4. Awning tie-down anchors MUST be removed from the ground when awning is retracted.
5. NO automotive repairs or oil changes are permitted on sites.
VEHICLE AND RV’S 1. SPEED Limit is 10 MPH
3. Before washing vehicles and/or RV’s a permit must be purchased from the office.
4. Car passes must be displayed on windshield at ALL times.

Why isn’t the WIFI in the park the same as my home?Several factors can affect the speed of WIFI in the park that may not be a factor at home. Park WIFI is shared among many users and devices. You may have a few devices connected at home, here we have HUNDREDS.At home you have very fast cable or fiber internet service, however in many rural or semi-rural areas slower DSL or even satellite based service may be all that’s available. Why can’t I download movies or music?Ocean Grove has limited the amount of bandwidth per user, therefore doing things that take up a large amount of band-width such as streaming movies, music or videos will not work. Smart TV’s and Roku sticks also will not work with our park wifi system. Why does my neighbor on the site beside me have better WIFI connection?Wifi Is based on radio signals which can be affected and/or blocked by both physical obstacles and interference from other devices.Similar answer below in “why do I keep getting booted off”
AS A COURTESY TO OUR CAMPERS, WE OFFER FREE WIFI.

I can’t get the Ocean Grove WIFI to show up on my device. What should I do?If no wifi signals are showing on your device, make sure WIFI is enabled on your device. Sometimes there is a physical button on laptops to turn off the radio to save battery, or there may be a software setting to enable WIFI. Some phones and tablets feature airplane mode to turn off all radios (cellular and radio), make sure that is turned off. We have several hotspots located throughout the park and the closest ones to your site should appear, with the option to connect. Choose the one with the highest signal strength. Why do I keep getting booted off?Getting dropped can mean actually losing the signal con-nection, or it can be maintaining the connection but the flow of data stops or slows to a point where it is not usable for what you want to do.Signal connection could drop for several reasons:
- Too far from access point- Wireless devices nearby are causing interference- Physical obstacles such as RV’s, buildings or vehicles- Too many users logged on and its overloaded
