WELCOME TO THE CHRISTMAS PARTY AT

PHOENIX

LANGUAGE CENTER.

On the evening of Saturday, December 19, to wel-

come the coming Christmas and New Year, parents

and students of Phoenix Language Center had the

chance to join in the annual Christmas party which

was held at Phoenix campus. Under the warm at-

mosphere, all beloved attendees actually enjoyed

the happy time with music performances and

discovered this interesting western celebration.

Toward the end of the evening, the children

were excited when they had the chance to meet

Santa Claus and received lovely gifts from him.

We joined in all the festivals during the first

semester at Phoenix. They were great and we

really loved them.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

On Christmas Day, We had a wonderful time at Phoenix School. We had a lot of activities and en-

joyed delicious food!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016!

Some activities in our class.

Let’s dance “Up on the Housetop.”

Our students received gifts and best wishes from Santa Claus.

We were ready to see many fascinating performances

Sunny Class

All of our students were

very excited about the

Christmas Concert. Our be-

loved students performed

quite well and they all con-

tributed to the success of the

Concert. We were very

proud of them.

Our Christmas party on Saturday 19th, December, 2015 was a great suc-

cess. The students did a great job singing and dancing the songs. Santa

Claus came and gave our children a lot of presents and enjoyment. That

was really a good chance for the students to learn more about Christmas

and its distinguished culture. Thanks to all who were able to attend our

Christmas party. To you all we want to say “Merry Christmas and

Happy New Year”.

How to make the

Grumpy Grinch Grin This Christmas, to make the grumpy Grinch

grin, he will steal children presents by sneaking

into their houses and taking all their Christmas

stockings away. Next, he will steal the candy

canes from the families Christmas tree and use

them for himself. Finally, he will drag their

Christmas tree away through the chimney, and

throw it onto the rubbish dump. After that he

will return to his cold, dark cave and cackle.

How to make the

Grumpy Grinch Grin

This Christmas, to make the grumpy Grinch grin, he will

put traps in people’s houses so he can steal all their

presents. After that, the green Grinch will kidnap Santa

Claus so nobody else gets their presents on time. Soon

after that he will blow the snow clouds away and make

the snow melt. Finally, he will break everyone else’s

presents before he sneaks back to his cave to snicker.

Preparing for Christmas Break

December is a special time of the year, when we celebrate Christmas here at Phoenix School. We

are doing lots of rehearsals to perform in the Christmas party on December 19. We have lots of

food, and games to play. I’m really excited for that because there’s going to be lots of people to

play with and have fun. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. I am really excited instead of

being nervous to perform on stage with my friends. We are also selling raffle tickets to win prizes.

They are 30000VND each but if you buy 10 you get 50000VND off. My brother Shawnee has sold

the most so far, I think he will have at least 100 tickets sold by Saturday. He has already sold 82

tickets. This is also going to be a good and special Christmas party because for Mr. Chris, my

teacher, this is going to be his first Christmas party here. I have lots of good memories about

Christmas on Christmas day and Christmas Eve. We always call my grandparents to wish them

merry Christmas and we watch lots of movies about the night before Christmas. We have lots of

fun setting up the Christmas tree, fanning the Christmas tree, decorating it and decorating the

school and the house. We also put up the stockings and leave cookies and milk before we go to

bed. Hopefully the weather will be nice and sunny. It is only 6 days away until the real Christmas

day after the performance. I’m looking forward for the Christmas party to have great fun and to

perform in front of everyone.

Another thing we do before Christmas break is doing school work. We still have to finish our tests.

We have tests on Math, Science, English, and History. It is a lot of work for me because some of

them are hard and I miss my recess sometime trying to finish a test and getting a good and the

highest score in my class. I usually get good scores in my tests and if I make mistakes, they’re usu-

ally silly mistakes about grammar or vocabulary and sometimes spelling. I always want to do the

test as soon as possible so we can play and have fun. After we have done the tests, we can watch

movies, watch videos and do sciences experiments. I am really hoping to get a high score in my

tests.

We are preparing for Christmas break and this is one of the preparations we have to do before

Christmas break. We are going to perform some singing, skits, karate and some piano. We do re-

hearsals on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I like performing on stage in front of everyone as well.

I really enjoy doing rehearsals because its fun and we get to play while we are wait for our turn so

it’s like a long recess. We practice singing and playing our skits during the rehearsals. It is really

cute to see my little brother Sundance playing the piano. Well, I hope you have a merry Christmas

and a happy new year.

Study Before Tests The bad thing about Christmas is studying before tests. There are a lot of hard things and we need

to remember all of them. But the second bad thing is I feel bad because I have lots of troubles. We

have already done 3 tests but I don’t know why I feel scared about the them. But the good thing is

we have 2 weeks off, and it’s almost Christmas. Before Christmas we sell raffle tickets. The inter-

esting thing is practicing singing and the skit we’re performing at the Christmas party. Selling raf-

fle tickets is really funny because we went all over the place and sold tickets to everyone. We di-

vided into lots of groups and went many places to sell the tickets. I’m wishing to get a balance

wheel for Christmas present. This Christmas is the first Christmas in my life I have been alone be-

cause all my family have gone to America already. I am really sad about it but I have friends in my

school. I wish all of you had a happy Christmas. All of the kids wish for Santa to come. He has

lots of presents for good kids. But I think I’m not good enough. This new year we will have a party

and we will play until 1 a.m.

Gmail Christmas Christmas is a great holiday of the year. It is the day when Jesus was born, on December

25. The traditional colors for Christmas are red, green and gold. At Christmas, a lot of

countries celebrate by decorating their houses and children will do many good things so

they will have presents from Santa Claus.

Christmas is celebrated once a year in countries all around the world. At Phoenix school,

we will have a big celebration for Christmas. But before Christmas, I am very worried be-

cause I have to study before the tests, we also have been rehearsing for the Christmas

party. During Christmas, we will perform lots of things and after that we are going to play

games and do activities. The best thing about Christmas is that I can have a Christmas

break for two weeks and I can go out with my family. By Ngoc –Grade 7
