TRANSCRIPT
We had a great rally at the
Grange Fairgrounds in May.
The Rizzuto’s did a fantastic
job in making the Memorial
Day weekend a success.
Friday we started with Taco
night...yum! After our Busi-
ness Meeting, the PA Coach-
men group joined us for a
night of bean bag baseball.
Penn Coachmen won the tour-
nament. Saturday started with
a Pot Luck breakfast, which
lead into free time. Dinner
was a catered Bar B Q meal
followed by Magician, Denny
More. It was a great night.
Sunday started with breakfast
then a nice Memorial-Worship
Service by Sue Cipa. We had
a nice cook-out Sunday night
with burgers & dogs. Sunday
night we played the plastic gift
ball game...so fun! Monday
we had a quick breakfast and
Gary Cipa’s annual military
recognition. We played nickel,
nickel two nights; Sue Cipa &
Jim Lexa were the big win-
ners. Jim also celebrated his
91st birthday with us. Lots of
good food, fun games and
more memories were made.
GREAT RALLY!

MAY 2019~CENTRE HALL
Penn Coachmen’s first rally of
the 2019 season is now in the
books. And we “got the party
started!” 27 coaches attended
which included 4 first timer
couples and 3 guests:
Michael and Ann Marie
(Nancy) Devine
Bob and Bonnie Eberly
Larry and Clarissa Sherrow
”Whip” and Judy Zimmerman
Trudy Detwiler (Bob Birett)
Elaine McConnell (Phyllis &
Eric Britz)
Tom Shannon (Terri Stoltz)
The weather cooperated and
the guided bus tour of the
Gettysburg Battlefields was
informative and well done.
There was a very competitive
game of bean bag baseball
with 4 teams fighting for brag-
ging rights. As usual there
was plenty of good food dur-
ing the rally from General
Pickett’s Buffet, to our potluck
breakfast and the mini meal of
yummy soups and hors d'oeu-
vres. John Prange was the
big winner ($2.45) at nickel-
nickel on Tuesday night and
Hal and Mary Amos won the
“Not So New, “Newlywed
Game”. Linda and Karl Dear-
dorff (married 53 years) had
the group in stitches with
Karl’s answers and Linda’s
reaction to them. Everyone
enjoyed the Safety talk and
Information exchange led by
Gary Cipa which covered RV
maintenance, roof care, tires,
and batteries as well as other
topics. We celebrated two
birthdays that were on Tues-
day, Barbara Arcati & Betty
Fritzinger. The group also
sang “Happy Birthday to Bob
Birett who celebrates his 80th
birthday on May 8. We all
enjoyed Penn Coachmen’s
50th Anniversary cake on
Tuesday as we got the ball
rolling highlighting 50 years.
We had an entertaining sing-
a-long and name-that-tune
followed by several stories by
our members. A goodtime
was had by all and we are
looking forward to some more
fun at Centre Hall with the
Rizzuto’s as rally masters.

On our third day at the
park, we traveled about 65
miles from our campsite to
the extreme western end of
the park to Santa Elena
Canyon. We hiked at
Santa Elena and then
stopped at the nearby visi-
tor center to eat our lunch.
As we sat at the picnic ta-
ble eating our P&J sand-
wiches, a gentleman came
up to us having seen Eric’s
FMCA baseball cap, saying
he belonged to FMCA too.
Imagine our surprise when
we saw that the gentleman

comes. The Britz’s have
gone westward the past 3
years to Arizona and de-
cided to see Texas this
year. Big Bend National
Park was at the top of the
list for 2019. We marveled
at the size of this Nat’l Park
and the fact it took us an
hour drive on Rt. 385 just
to reach the park. There
are 5 visitor centers in the
park which covers more
than 800,000 acres. There

DO YOU HAVE A RECIPE TO SHARE….
We are planning on putting a Penn Coachmen 50th Anniversary Cookbook together. We are looking for
recipes you would like to share. When you bring a dish to share at a rally, send the recipe to John Noel,
[email protected].. John has accepted the job of putting the book together. Thanks John!

We are in need for help with our rallies. If you are planning on attending a rally, please consider volun-
teering as a host. Even for the rallies in 2019, give the rally masters a call and tell them you would love
to help. It is so much fun being a part of the rally. You also get to know other members and form some
wonderful friendships. Please help!
