Be it under water, in a mega city or high up in the mountains – H+E conveyor systems ensure that the most diverse projects, even under quite extreme conditions, are ex-ecuted in time. Thanks to our booster stations, they can overcome the typically narrow curves to construct metro tunnels. In metropolitan cities, we make sure that waste material is on its way in situations where space is restricted without unfavourably affecting the surrounding infrastructure.

However, we also accompany our customers there where civilisation has not yet ar-rived. Even in remote regions that have not been developed, our systems and elaborate logistics have proven their worth, for example in the construction of railway tunnels. Incidentally, the same holds true for projects with particularly large quantities of waste material, such as boring tunnels for multi-lane high-speed motorways.

TIME IS MONEY – WE ARE AWARE OF THISBelt extension during normal operation is indispensable for mechanical tunnel boring. H+E has hereto developed a clever system which is child‘s play to handle. Not only is the quantity of waste material increased, but the propulsion power is also accelerated. Belt storage for supplying extra belt material helps save time and space – as horizontal storage or as vertical belt storage in storage towers developed in-house by H+E. By the way: Our belt systems also demonstrate their strength with an effi cient supply of material into the tunnel.

EVEN WITH A MACHINE CONNECTIONAs an affi liated company of Herrenknecht AG, we provide backup conveyors for leading providers of mechanical tunnel boring. Hence, tunnel construction companies benefi t from our technical know-how over the entire conveyance route as well as from the fact that at interface points, everything goes hand in hand.

H+E.tunnelling – We clear the way

For tunnel construction, even the fastest drilling machine does not go far without a working backup. H+E conveyor belt systems create a perfect interface to mechanical tunnel boring or for conventional blasting. As a clean logistics solution to transport waste material without lorries or railway transport. Instead, it is done with minimal labour input and minimised accident risk.

miningWE BRING RAW MATERIALS TO DAYLIGHT Be it coal or copper ore, H+E systems transport and distribute raw materials reliably and effi ciently – even under extreme conditions. Our specially designed swivelling spreaders can also achieve impressive conveying capacities for piling.

In CIS countries, both old mines are modernised and new ones are opened. H+E con-veyor belt systems are deployed for these projects. The belt systems transport the mined material through inclined shaft belts from below the ground to above.

The productivity of each mine particularly depends on the conveyor belts, which must run just as smoothly and seamlessly at +40 °C in summer as at -40 °C in winter. This requires materials and production technologies of a very special quality: made in Germany, made by H+E.

industrialSpecially for the area of bulk goods, H+E has developed a modular conveyor system which is suitable for almost all bulk goods. The modules can be combined individually and con-siderably reduce the planning cost, and they can be perfectly adapted to the most diverse requirements on-site.

H+E.industrial – We deliver fl exibility

H+E.industrial conveyor belt systems are characterised by a particularly high level of fl exibility and ensure precise system installation. In this manner, we ensure both trouble-free and high-performance operation for our customers. Our clever modular system can even be deployed in constrained spaces. Simple construction permits the transport of bulk goods over the most varied distances.

THREE COMPONENTS – ENDLESS OPTIONSThe drive, bridge and reverse modules are available in several designs and versions, and they can be combined as required. H+E offers various motor capacities and belt widths, so the optimal system can be assembled for any situation.

The system‘s high reliability and large volume fl ows signifi cantly contribute to cost- effectiveness of separation and processing facilities as well as gravel and cement factories, for example.

The Herrenknecht Group is behind us

The tunnel conveyor belt transports the material from the boring operation right up to in front of the tunnel portal. If a shaft is present, vertical conveyors or in-clined conveyor belts bring the excavated material to the surface. This is wherethe interim repository with deposit belt conveyor and the stacker are located.

With the numerous branches of Herrenknecht, we use the infrastructure of a global player in order to be represented in the neighbourhood all over the world. Our Field Service is part of the “Tunnelling Teamwork“ and contributes towards developing new paths in the mobility of tomorrow.

The large complex of 32,000 square metres

houses an offi ce complex, a cold hall of 1,500

square metres for temporary storage of

materials, a 2,500 square metre production

hall which comprises two crane bridges with

a 16 tonne load lifting capacity as well as a

sand and paint shop.

Progress as a matter of principle

In 2010, we set up a new H+E location for production of belt systems in Aschers-leben near Magdeburg for this purpose. Equipped with highly modern machinery, this production location is optimally equipped to meet the individual requirements of our customers.

Apart from a permanent workforce of experienced employees, also new colleagues fi nd themselves a job here. In addition, H+E in Aschersleben is also a training facility, which gives the fi rst insights into our exciting segment and provides professional advanced development.

Innovation, reliability and competitiveness form the basis of the trust reposed in us by our customers. We live up to these claims by continually adapting our production to the latest technical requirements.

Our products are integrated as backup conveyors in tunnel boring machines of Herrenknecht and merge seamlessly with tunnel belt conveyor systems of any length. In this way, H+E ensures streamlined process, even at this im-portant interface of tunnel boring machines.

Since its establishment in 1999, the company H+E Logistik, based in Bochum, has been on a consistent and continuous expansion path. In May 2011, the hundred per cent subsidiary, H+E Logistik USA Inc. was established in Seattle, which is promoting our sales activities locally. Moreover, we are also represented by contact partners in Brisbane (Australia), Novokuznetsk (Russia), Auckland (New Zealand) as well as Hong Kong.
