Appraisals: “Done but done badly”?

• Only 20% of HR professionals agreed that PA impacted individual performance

• And 21% agreed that it impacted organisational performance

• Circa 55% of employees think that their performance appraisal process is unfair

• Deloitte reports that 58% organisations don’t think PA is an effective use of time

• IES echoes continuing dissatisfaction with appraisals especially from managers

• CEB reports that in 2011 1% of fortune 500 firms were ending annual performance appraisals
